Burton Posted August 27, 2012 Report Share Posted August 27, 2012 If you blast it and remove the rust, you can topcoat it with any kind of paint or whatever, but powdercoating would be best. No matter what you use if battery acid gets on it, then it will fail. Even Por 15 won't stand up to acids, and I don't think powdercoating will either. If you have no blaster or can't get ALL the rust off and out of the pits, then you will deffinately want to use the Por-15 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
