AustinTSI
I'm considering getting new rims and trying decide between 18" and 19" rims. Does anyone have side view pics of the same car with the different rims/tires? I'm trying to decide if the 19" will look too odd.
nomad
That's a pretty tall request. Have to be a wheel junkie to be able to fulfill that request.the only car I can think of that had 19s was justpaus_88tsi, but he sold his car a few years ago. Might be able to find some pics still lingering around the net if you look. If you look at my thread in the showroom, you can see my car with 17s and 18s. Im out of the whell game, so there will be no 19s for me.
Convette
19s are too big. Actually 18s are a little big for the car, but better for tires. GO 18.s if anything.
AustinTSI
18s is what I was thinking also. I looked up 16's on tire rack . com and the selection is horrible. Everything is track only tires.
Crazy Quest
18's or 17's look best and fit the best.
Funky Phil
18's or 17's look best and fit the best. So then you must have 16's then.............

kidjc
19s are too big. Actually 18s are a little big for the car, but better for tires. GO 18.s if anything. That's the ticket if you really want to go "Big." I'm ready to set up 17's, same stagger as SHP's (size wise) Looking forward to that. But definitely what John said as far as tire size availability. That's really why I'm doing 17's, & it won't be long before sizes for those will probably get extinct?
TexasQuest
18's or lower. 16's look real good flushed out with spacers.
jszucs
18's are fine...... 19's could be fine on a quest but you better be getting custom made to your specs rims at that point, and your going to have allot more suspension work, wheelwell work and fender mods to make a 19 look right. You sited tire selection (which was also my reason to go 18's) 17's will soon go the way of 16's in tire selection. Cars even little cars now come with 18's and up. AustinTSI
I'm going to start my build in the next couple of months and was looking at getting some new rims. I've got a full set of SHP's with new tires but was just checking other options. No I've noticed that 16" tires are almost impossible to find so I'm seriously considering some 18's now. I'm doing a 240sx swap on the front so I think I'm supposed to get an extra inch of clearance there. I'm also looking at doing a 240sx S13 rear swap but I'm not sure if I will gain or lose clearance. If I lose some then I will probably extend the rear fenders some like what Convette was considering.
AshyBone
240 rear swap.... Why? But OP I think it all comes down to personal opinion. I would want 19's on my VR4 but still think that that's big. Not to mention there isn't enough meat on the tire too. On the Starquest biggest I'd go would be 17's but their hard to find.
