  1. using stock size rotors so should - i dont have stock wheels to test
  2. mate i used part number JB1775 which is for a nissan patrol 1992-95 rd28t turbo 2.8l 4x4 26.99mm exactly the same size (bore) as the 300zx MC artinist was looking at. bolts straight up to the booster all that was required was the push rod adusted and the rear line bent into place pictures on my site thanks Jas
  3. ok have updated my website and have included the design drawings. I have made an effort to make all measurements as accurate as i can i have been running on these for months now but as stated im not an engineer and you should get an engineer to check anything you do Use at own risk Be safe Jas
  4. sorry dudes - will try and get some soon. Been busy modifying car
  5. Just an update. I wasnt happy with the pedal travel so i installed a new master cylinder part number JB1775 off 92-95 nissan patrol non abs rd28t turbo 2.8l 4x4 26.99mm bore (which is identical to the 300zx / GTR that the calipers came off) all i had to do was bend one of the oil lines and adjust the push rod length. Brake pedal feel is a lot better. will post some pictures soon. man the selection of pads now is huge. just bought pads from Japan (just because it was cheaper to buy direct) Project mu - 0 - 800 degrees. what an awesome heat range. http://www.project-mu.co.jp/e/product/hc-plus.html
  6. mate i used the starion crossmember, starion engine mounts and the nissan brackets that bolt to the SR bolted up. the engine sat too high though and the gearbox wouldnt fit in the tunnel so i used steel plates that bolted to the starion engine mounts and welded it to the nissan brackets which allowed me to lower the engine enough for the gearbox to fit in the tunnel nicely. it also allowed me to move engine back or forward to my liking. gearstick come up through the tunnel as normal one thing i must say i hate about the SR though is the timing cover - pain in the arse better make some heat sheilds for your brake booster etc since yours is LHD good luck though mate. Heres a current pic of my engine bay http://aycu38.webshots.com/image/19757/2002892907128866515_rs.jpg
  7. did you end up doing the sr20 install mate?
  8. great thing about the rotary engine is you can rev very high and run very large turbo's. you can always change your driving style to get around the lag. wish someone would give it a go
  9. i can't wait till there is finally a full coilover suspension available good work mate keep us updated
  10. very nice setup. can you provide some info on that Nissan master cylinder upgrade also. Artinist i havent upgraded the master cylinder. Im using the standard australian starion MC. I bought it new last year and so far ive clocked up 300kms after the caliper upgrade and all is well. there is more pedal travel but i havent found it unsafe or unusable.
  11. basically a 240 doesnt look like a starion does it. over in oz widebody's are rare - as stated earlier only about 8 in the country. modifiers all over the world are puting widebody kits on cars - as it looks great - widebody starions has it standard! not many cars can say that yeah ive put in a lot of nissan parts into my car but i consider it improvements. its funny one of the dudes in this thread said "it doesnt have mitusbishi on it" referring to my nissan calipers. Mate they are made by the same company nissan and mitsubishi 4 pots - sumitumo stamped on them. you can even see that on the pics on this thread. My dad used to build hot rods back in new zealand. it didnt mater what car manufacturer made a component. if it was the right size and did the job better then labels can always be ground off. i respect all of you taking the time to comment. I have to keep reminding myself that we are all different and we all have different ideas. I apologise if i have come across defensive. im just amazed at why a starion person would ask why i dont just buy a 240....
  12. http://www.arizonazcar.com/coilover.html i know someone had this in a thread a few months back but i couldnt find it. Has anyone spoken to this crowd? This is exactly the sort of coilover that would be awesome on a starion. i like the idea that you keep full travel as the adjustment is on the strut itself and not compressing the springs. im in oz which would make things difficult to send examples etc. really needs someone in the US - arizona would be better to take point and run with it. your thoughts, ideas..... Jas
