Windshield clips

I am getting a new windshield installed this week. I want to know what are the clips am I to get? Are these the clips that hold the trim on?

Looking at the parts manual:

Looks like I would need number 2 and 4

So I would need to order 6 of MB198555 and 6 of MB198536.

Are these "the clips" that are spoken of when replacing a windshield?

Is there any other parts that I need to order when the windshield gets replaced?

Thanks for you help.

When I had mine pulled out and put back in on the Starion to have the new roof welded on I never heard a peep from the windshield guy about needing anything. When I got my car shell back it was like nothing ever happened.

No you need numbers 11 and 4. 4 holds on the top trim. The mount over the studs braved into the window channel. 11 holds the side trim. They snap down over the tabs agAin blazed in the side channels. Number 11 typically can be reused. Number 4 should be replaced. Both are common on jap cars so most window places have them

Thanks guys. The windshield gets put in tomorrow. I hope they have everything as it is too late to order from Mitsubishi now unless I reschedule which I can't because I will get a ticket from the police in 10 days. I got pulled over last Friday for no inspection.

Worst case is you can add the clips later. It just makes it easier to position the clips prior to installing the windshield. It bAsically prevents the urethane from getting in the way of the clip.

Yes! I got home just in time before that major rain storm.

I took pictures of the glass manufacturer and the clips. I'll post them when I get home. Bruce from Alderfer glass did a great job.

Yes please post up the pics. Alderfer glass is right down the street from me.

Great glad you got what ya needed for the install,By the way it looks great and

the mouldings looks nice and flush against the window.

BuGG if you need one the installer I had was named Bruce. If you go to the Quakertown store they have a garage to work in.

Randy, that was the quality installation I was looking for. They came recommended by Techboy. It is hard to find anyone that does good work anymore.

when I got my window done last year they had them all.

including the wiper cowl ones.

Lucky. The jagoff that replaced my windshield decided to use the windshield sealant to replace my cowl clips, resulting in the cowls busting in half when I went through a car wash. Idiot...
