Its called Autodesk/ALIAS . The program itself is rather pricey( around $60K) but you can do anything with it...I mean anything. Terminator 2 robots were built, rendered and animated in a very early version of this software. I work at GM doing digital and clay design, as you can imagine things are kinda slow so I figured I'd build a quest....

haha $60k is just a bit outta my range, I guess I'm SOL

I'll just stick to my Autodesk Inventor tinkering for the time being.

Curiosity has gotten me....

What material are you planning on using if/when you follow through? Sheetmetal extensions or just fiberglass?

Not sheetmetal....he'll be ran off the boards by haters...then they'll still disrespect his work when he dies and is layed to rest.

Yep... they finish their tall glass of haterade and go and post on SQC...

I was considering JGTC'n my fenders months ago... I knew it would look good. And now that I be see'n the render, it is confirmed.

Yeah, I got my copy from a friend...I can get it for you a full version if you want D. What are you going to school for? Reguardless...KEEP DRAWING!!! I've got similar sketches from along time ago that I laugh at now... Ideas were there...just not the skill... I've got some more coming... I kinda want to save some stuff for the finished product.

Picking up some extra fenders soon. And the finished part will be glass, pulled from a combination of both. To be honest if its not your thing thats cool too, I just dont care...lol. Once molds are made of front and rear parts will be for sale, for those who care. More to come...

I graduated in May, from the Cleveland Institute of art. For industrial Design, focusing on Transportation, designers from Chryselr (in the fall) and GM (in the spring) would teach our saturday "car class"

I'm currently doing a long term internship (not sure how long, but have been here since August 4th) at Polaris Ind. and having a blast.

I'm not here as a designer though. I'm here as a modeler (clay, no Alias, have dedicated guys for the cad work here) done a lot of fiberglass work, and a little clay, not much yet, came in mid project, but new projects are getting to us modelers soon. had some downtime this past month at work, and made about 10 different small tools, most wires less than an inch wide, for nice tight detail work.

Yeah, if your offering, I'll take a copy. Now I just need a desktop that can run it, my desktop died last spring at the worst time, thank god I bought this laptop the summer before, lol

Thanks

Derek
