So progress has kind of slowed since summer time. I was hoping to have it done in time for the shootout but a couple things put me behind. But anyways here's a recap of what's been going on lately.

Since this was a craigslist engine buy I looked through it with a friend that knows 4g's well. Hone was fresh and everything looked good so God willing it hopefully wont blow up.
Installed ARP's, Cometic MLS headgasket, 3G lifters, And OEM timing belt.

Do you plan on running A/C?  How much power are you expecting?

Ac lines were destroyed by previous owner so I removed all of it. It would be nice to have though. I think it could be done. Iíd like to get in the 300whp range. At least thatís how I sized most of my stuff. I may need a set of cams though.

So I had been struggling to find a good mounting solution for the aem smart coils I got for the car. They were too big to put on the valve cover plate. I had built another plate down by the core support but when I changed my BOV to a bigger tial it no longer worked out. Looked on google and found some better ideas.

Made my own spark plug wires since the smart coils use HEI connections. Was able to disassemble the DSM plug and uncrimp it and then re-crimp it to the MSD wire. And then crimp on the HEI plug end.

Applied power to ecu and started testing inputs and outputs so far no issues. Need to wire in fuel pump to also be controlled by the ECU output. Heres a pic of the AEM CD5 dash. Stated playing with that as well.

Finally took it off the jack stands and rolled it outside to clean up the shop. Still need to wire in fuel pump, set the timing and add all the fluids. Hopefully it starts and runs.
