  1. Just figured I'd post it on here as well. Getting high performance all seasons put on at end of week, and will be selling 400 mile old 215-45-18 OEM tires off the Mazdaspeed 6 for pickup only. $200 new each on tire rack, but I'm gonna end up selling these for very cheap. If you know anyone who is interested, and they live within a respectable distance from the NJ area, let me know.
  2. Wow reading that feedback was almost like dejavu. I ordered the hks exhaust from St. Andres auto as well, and initially it was in stock and ready to ship, so they biled my credit card immediately. After A week, I call back to check status, and you guessed it, this guy Eric was the one who I had to talk to, because no one there knew anything about it. I knew right away I made a mistake on going with the cheapest price. He eventually called me back, and said the item was back ordered, but should arrive tomorrow and they will ship immediately. Well you guessed it, the time went by, and no package, so again I call, and Eric's not in. I continue to call and leave messages, and finally a week later he calls me back saying iten will definitely be shipped that Monday. That guy was a fake a** kissing pansy who tried talking like a professional, when in reality he nor anyone else at that place gives a rats a** about customer service. So it took a little over a month to get my exhaust after it was supposedly in stock and ready to ship. I'd definitely never deal with them ever again. Acselor: You got it worse then me. At least mine finally arrived, but had I not bugged the hell out of them, and threatened to cancel my order, I may have never received it.Yeah the place offered the cheapest price around, but this place is very disorganized, and it's not worth the little extra cash you save buying from them.
  3. I was in desparate need of a radiator. I talked to Nick and he said he had a spare brand new three row upgrade racing radiator with custom brackets, including a fan, and hoses, everything I need to fit. I was hesitant, but he assured me this would bolt right on without any problems. When i got it, it turned out to be used, two row radiator, and fins were bent in various places. When I installed it, the lower hose was wrong size, and the hood would not shut, The radiator is simply too big. The hood support needs to either be hammered down or cut for the rad cap to possibly fit, which I really do not want to do. I have been trying to confront nick about this and he is apparently avoiding me at all costs, ignoring my emails, even changing his nickname on chat to disguise himself. I asked him to buy it back from me, and I would cover return shipping on item, but since I am being ignored I have to assume it's a NO. I put my complete faith in him that this item was exactly or very close what he said it was, and yes I am angry at him, and myself for getting caught in this mess. Due to the fact that he was dishonest about it's condition, it doesn't fit, his avoidance to discuss this issue, combined with the fact that I am gonna have to take a loss when reselling because I cannot sell it as direct bolt on replacement like he described, justify's this feedback. Had item fit, I would have let the other things go, but I cannot let something like this slide without letting people know. Naturally, it's is his word against mine, but what has been stated is the exact truth, and nothing has been fabricated. You can draw your own conclusions in viewing this feedback, and make your decision if you ever decide to deal with him.
  4. After a long delay in shipping, and some "he said/she said" insult words provoked the situation, his wife sent me my money back on an item that was not shipped. I retracted my original feedback, and modified my final response. I have since spoken to Jacob and all is forgotten and forgiven. Certain priorities and unforseen events prevented the item from being shipped to me when I needed it, but it has no bearing on the honesty and trust in buying from Jacob, and should not make you hesitate to buy from him.
  5. TEP is a good overall place to buy your parts. If you are looking to save money, and finding a way to get the same parts for a cheaper price, then TEP is not your choice. When it comes to service, for the most part they are reliable. I have had quick turnarounds with all my purchases from them. Sometimes the reassurance and quality part is worth the extra money.
  6. The shape is a bit different, and they are certainly not identical. The 3 piece is no longer made, so I can see why someone decided to shell out the dough for it on ebay. Heck I wanted one when I replaced mine on my 87 to keep it original looking, but I had to get the 88 89. Most people prefer the look of the 88-89 because it's more flashy. The sides are wider, and the bottom flares out as opposed to a straight drop off on the 86-87. My factory 87 Bra no longer fits right on my car now.
  7. My wheels went right on and fit perfectly both front and rear, with no specers needed. I basically bought them made to fit my car perfectly from that website.
  8. yeah I was digging the wheels on the yellow quest too, until I realized how much they must cost, and it certainly looks like it required some modding to get them to fit. I agree with you on the rim choosing. It took me hours just to figure out what shifter knob to get for my car. lol Of course we don't have nearly as many options on choosing rims that fit directly and perfectly, so I didn't have a super hard time choosing.
  9. Yeah mine are the ROH Snyper 17x8 in front and 17x9 in back. I had Sumitomo 215/45 zrs put on and 245/40/ zrs on back. Cost me $1400 total mounted and balanced shipped to my door. I wanted to make both my cars different, so I went aftermarket with this car. They are really nice, and well worth the 1400.
  10. I love the aftermarket rims I got for mine. Tell me what you think. http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/vikings72/vwp?....rc=ph%26.view=t http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/vikings72/vwp?....rc=ph%26.view=t
  11. A coat of black primer might not be a bad idea as your initial coat, but it's not necessary. I didnt' even sand mine to the bare metal when I had it sprayed. But mine was basically faded with just a few bad spots. I basically smoothed it out and cleaned it off before painting.
  12. There is no best color, and everyone has their own tastes. Each color has it's own personality, and each owner has it's own color preference, so they are all great.
  13. Thanks for the info guys. Looks like I have a decision to make. I like your shift boot, but man the Momo one is just too damn sweet to pass up. I might get one from you for my other car to replace that ugly accordian rubber thing. Thanks!!
  14. I hear ya on that one. One of my cars just has too much rust around those wheels. Once I see wide open holes of rust, I have to throw in the towel, and not attempt to restore it.
