StarquestRescue
My buddy's car. Note both cars were running a race gas blend. 17c *DM 4" intercooler, 3" exhaust, 2.25 hard pipes, ahp, 274 cam, stainless valves, ported exhaust manifold,1st gen mas, MSD, Fidanza flywheel and walbro pump. Needs more fuel over 5000 rpm. First two runs @19lbs, Third @20lbs. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/9b481c6d.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/60a102b4.jpg My car. I had to turn the boost down to 16lbs due to worn clutch. My mods are in my signature. Second run was aborted due to misfire. It hiccuped at the same rpm on the third run. At the track i can run 19lbs. My car never did like pulling from low rpm in high gears. I think the intercooler was heat soaking a little, my buddy's new *DM 4" intercooler stayed cooler. I actually made a run before the first one but the dyno did not record it. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/fd9e333a.jpg http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/f2229b72.jpg Edited October 27, 2008 by StarquestRescue

StarquestRescue
What are you guys using for fuel control?? -Robert Bosch fuel pump and i crushed the factory regulator, but i think it is to rich at the lower rpms. My buddy just runs a walbro pump. I know we are pushing the ragged edge of the stock fuel system. Which is why i run a race gas blend at the track to guard against detonation and than turn down the boost for street use. I think keeping the rpm down is important also. I did not just bolt on a turbo and crank it to the moon. I pushed it harder little by little. When i go to the track i start at conservative boost till i see what the weather condition will give me. My buddy's car ran good on the modded stock intercooler when it was cool, but his trap speed dropped off when the weather got hot. Where as my speed held up good in the heat with my spearco intercooler. I think his new *DM 4" is doing a better job than my spearco. It's a shame i could not run the 19lbs and i wish the charts were scaled the same. I am kinda disappointed in the 19c. My 17c spooled much quicker and was more fun to drive. Maybe if i ever get my magna mpi on the 19c will do better. The shop guys barely knew what a Conquest was and were quite impressed. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/th_0e05f900.jpg 1.85x 60' http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff45/StarquestRescue/th_7be3965c.jpg

RWDAddict
I like what you did with the header panel. Did you pick that up here or did you one off it? You think you can make more?
Elkidmino
Check your coil on that hiccup, I had the same problem @ the dyno with my car and it turned out my coil was bad. Very nice numbers gentlemen!

You think you can make more? He made it him self. Check your coil on that hiccup, I had the same problem @ the dyno with my car and it turned out my coil was bad. Very nice numbers gentlemen! Coil is a Bosch red, its been on there for years. I have another red and a blaster i can try. I run a crushed regulator and my exhaust was much blacker than my friends car at that rpm. I might do better with a stock regulator. It probably time to step up to an MSD anyway and or some kind of fuel controller.
michael knight
I'm amazed you aren't hitting fuel cut at 20lbs. w/ those mods and no fuel management to block it. What were you and your buddies AFR's like at max boost. I've got similar mods and am hitting the dynopak this weekend. Anytime I go over 18lbs. I get fuel cut and my afr's don't go leaner than 11.2%. Don't really want to go any leaner until I have the money to go big. Thanks, Damon Eh, nevermind about the AFR's I read above that you're not sure. Love the torque curve! I'll pray for your motor. jinx
charts aren't scaled the same ? 2nd car running stock cam.... vs 274 in the 1st ? did 1 psi make that much difference (red dyno line) ? Imagine 16 vs 19 ? 17C does produce a healthier/earlier tq spike. Can't really make a fair comparison with lower boost and slipping clutch tho. Always good to see testing and posting results. Nice going
StarquestRescue
charts aren't scaled the same ? No, i wish they were 2nd car running stock cam.... vs 274 in the 1st ? Yes, adjust able rocker did 1 psi make that much difference (red dyno line) ? Imagine 16 vs 19 ? Hard to say exact boost levels with out data logging 17C does produce a healthier/earlier tq spike. Much more fun to drive :biggrinumbrella1: Can't really make a fair comparison with lower boost and slipping clutch tho. Always good to see testing and posting results. Nice going. He whooped me at the track again Saturday. I fixed the clutch but still have some issues that limits my boost.
StarionPAP
Looks like those 4" *DM Intercooler are good. I installed one, and right after that, the car was running way better. Quality part from *DM.
