  1. Car was sold today - sad to see her go, but happy that she will be on the road again. Please close this thread, thanks.
  2. Just wanted to update - need to sell by September 30th, or else she has to go to the junk yard - make an offer to save this one!
  3. Up for sale is my 1987 Mistubishi Starion ESi-R. Color is white (W18), with a turbocharged G54B 2.6L motor and KM132 3545 5-speed manual transmission. VIN number is JA3CC54N8HZ010434. Model code A187AMNFGLH. Current mileage is 209044.8 She was a great reliable daily driver, but unfortunately, she is currently not running, and needs to go to a new home that will give her the care she needs. Car is currently located in Hercules, CA. The Good: Well cared for and mildly modified. Modifications and repairs include: JVC KD-R800 Head Unit Clifford Matrix 1X Car Alarm (Professional Install) Star-Orion 3" Aluminized Turbo-Back Exhaust (Includes high-flow catalytic converter, and test pipe) Magnaflow 14419 Stainless Steel 3" Round Muffler with Pacesetter Monza Exhaust Tips http://youtu.be/kKdWZcNELJ4 Turbonetics Raptor BOV MK1 Rear Gas Struts Burton's Tinted Fog Light Covers DDM Tuning H3 HID Fog Lights Trilogy Turbos Hood Struts 14G Turbo Upgrade Steel Braided Thermostat to Turbo Coolant Line JolyRgr Aluminum Radiator DSM Steering Wheel and Shifter Knob MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Coil New O2 Sensor New PCV Valve New Thermostat New Alternator New Starter New Brake Master Cylinder Newer transmission (1988,from VIN JJ3CC54N6JZ037671) Oil changed religiously at 3000 miles, using Mobil1 15W50 and Napa Gold 1381 Filter. The Bad: Car registration is expired, and will need to be smogged. The Ugly: Front end damage from a person who decided it was a good idea to make a left turn – from the right-most lane, right in front of me. Front-right fender, front-right corner marker, front bumper cover, and front air-dam sustained damage. Insurance wanted to total the car, but I wanted to save her, so I raised a finger to my insurance company. The damage did not affect drivability or alignment, as she still drove straight and ran well. Unfortunately, she currently does not start. I don’t have the time to get her running again, but I think it may be fuel related. I am asking $1500. 4. So a couple of weeks ago, my Starion got into a fender bender - I was going downhill, on a two lane, one way street. I was in the left lane, and there was a new SUV in the right lane ahead of me. The idiot driver in the SUV decides its a good idea to make a left turn *from the far right lane* to get into a side street we are about to cross on the left-hand side. So he suddenly cuts in front of me, and I have no choice but to brake and brace for impact (remember we are going downhill) - so I tag his left rear wheel, and this is the result: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a268/DryBear/Starion/IMAG0210.jpg In any case, my insurance company gets back to be and just wants to total the Starion, but of course I want to keep her on the road for as long as possible. The engine runs fine, and everything works - just looks like I need a new fender, header panel, grill, side marker, and air dam. Guess I will have to do the buy-back thing and repair her myself. Any tips on getting the most money back from both my insurance and idiot SUV driver's insurance?
  5. This part from Spaghetti Engineering intrigues me:
  6. For the OP, is that a leather wheel? As far as I can tell, my DSM steering wheel is round - the spokes just make it look off.
  7. Thanks for all the input - I'm taking notes and shoring up the battle lines - I am hoping for an amicable split, but I will CMA as mentioned.
  8. Well we have 2 daughters (twins), and I know I will be getting full custody, as she is mentally ill, and has had a run in from child protective services (she was not allowed near the girls for half a year). No chance of us staying together - my feelings for her have long gone (most likely after the time she tried to stab me in my sleep). I've tried to help her through her illness, but it is a losing battle - you can only help those who want/are willing to receive the help. She already has a new boyfriend (another person who has a mental illness), and I honestly could care less. We have already decided on who gets what. I of course keep the Starion and the house, while she gets to keep the Minivan (whoopie lol) and will move in with her new guy. I will certainly get this in writing - thanks for mentioning that. I really just want to get it over with, and get her out of my house - it is under only my name after all, and I am the only one making money. She does receive money from SSI, though - she thinks its for her work as "a psychic"
  9. So I am going through the motions of getting a divorce, and want to know if anyone else has any experience with divorce and for things to watch out for.
  10. Aside from aerodynamics and looks, would the front splitter help protect the airdam, or make it more prone to damage?
  11. Most people running aftermarket radiators will add a bung for the sensor in the radiator. If you don't run the sensor, just run the line that would go to the sensor to a ground point. The downside is that the fan will always be running.
  12. I may be interested as well, depending on the final price

  14. Of course you could just throw the new GT-aRRR engine into the Juke http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM81mUssFzY
