I understand that I may be the only member this 'Wish' would help. But I'm 61 & just bought my first fuel injection car two years ago & my first turbo car last week. I'm trying to read every thread here & can't finish a sentence without a trip to Google to look up one abbreviation or another.
I've never paid a mechanic in my life & never even taken a new car back to the dealer for service. I trust myself more than anyone else to do it right. But all of my 'tuning' has been done with a screwdriver and a timing light.
I want to learn, but it's slow going when I have to look up the new lingo.

Thanks, Brad

There was a post to help out this exact issue in the "Newbies Section". You should really read through it, especially if you are new to these cars like I am.
This post should help you out with some of the terms http://www.starquest...showtopic=31125

Yeah, I already tried to use one of my favorites & it cot clipped off! Heh..Heh

I still have not found 'FPI'  which I see used when talking about ECU's/ ECM's     Fuel pressure something?

Of course I likely could have missed that also. Hey, I'm old as dirt .

"FIP" = Fuel Injection Pro
"FIP" offered a semi plug-and-play (PnP) Multiport Injection (MPI) system in the early 2000's to include an upgraded Throttlebody Injection (TBI) system that utilized megasquirt 1 (MS1) Electronic/Engine Control Units (ECU).

Hope that helps! ;)

There he is! If I got on the dyno now I would have no hopes of 400+ whp with the current T04E on there. Still like to see where it's at though. One of these days
