Did you have to adjust that maf-t alot based on the weather changing or was it just tune it once and good to go?

Once I got it tuned in the way I wanted I didn't ever have to adjust it, but I only drive my car from spring-fall so maybe if you drive yours in the winter it might need minor tweaking but I doubt it could be much.

My MAF-T remained on the same tune for the entire year in Western PA.  Never had a problem, but that was with stock injectors.

When you "lock" a distributor how does it get it's timing advance? I'm torn between the conversion, and a v8 swap.

A locked distributor gets its advance via a timing map in a stand alone ecu.

I was until I spun a rod. But that was my fault.. too many donuts, I think I starved the oil pump. And that was actually at 18 psi and I was running a Super (big) 16G. As long as your smart with how you drive this is a great setup for the stock TBI system.

Wow no head cracking or head gasket issues at 18psi with a big 16g and stock injectors. Nice! Upgraded fuel pump?

Is 87 5 speed ECU still available?  I assume it's for intercooled engine.
