In my opinion use a Magna head with a Magna intake since all the ports line up.

From way back you seem just a turbo(+ boost) shy of your '600' goal... and maybe a short runner intake + injectors?
2.6 cam science is vodoo, but your aussie cam certainly delivered the goods from what I recall

The motor was under boost as soon as you started moving.

the cam I have is for 4500-7500 rpms I never gone past 6500  but it realy likes to rev plan on running it a 7000-7250 when done

off-the-shelf cams & springs seem to be holding back the 2.6 more than the standard cyl head
Your old setup appeared to be unusually efficient... 12.4s et, street starquest at only 14psi was a standout
I remember you limit redline ~6200 and low boost.
Switch to, say a hx40 or pte62 ~35psi along with a short runner intake, on your old setup.... you'd probably hit 600

I had it made by a shop that was running a 7 second 2.6 l. At the time they had the fastest 4 cylinder in Australia running the good old 2.6 l. It's pretty big lift solid lifter cam 499 on the intake 519 on the exhaust and I think it was 309 duration. Not really much of the street cam. It sure sounds mean though and really performed well

We have big runners and big valves. This head does a good job on flow. Ive been looking into a bigger cam.
