Hey guys. Been on here once introducing myself. I couldn't post anywhere else. Maybe cuz I'm a noob and don't come on here much. Lately I've been on here more and more trying to learn more about my car. I put my car on the back burner for awhile but as of right now I'm going 110% in it trying to finish it up in the next month. I got the car not running. Head was cracked. Send the motor to machine world of NY. Who ever rebuilt the motor before me didn't cut the rings either. Nor did they put in the connecting rod bearin🙈🙈 So as of now I'm cleaning up the engine bay and gunna paint it. I took out the vacuum canister. No AC. No cruise control. I wanted to know what else I can delete. I want a clean engine bay. I have a canister top left hand corner on the fire wall. It's for my breaks but not sure if I can delete. For some reason I can't upload pics from my iPad 😡😡

i cant start a new topic in NEW OWNERS. iv posted in newbie introduction once before. im posting this for my build and any advice or tips i get will be greatly appreciated. i bought this car at an auction not knowing what a conquest was. iv done alot of research since. here are the mods that came on the car : head studs, AF gauge, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, boost controller, full exhaust, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump on a switch. car came with a blown motor. head was melted onto the block pretty well. head was cracked everywhere. the head i believe was a refurbished head and welded up the jet valve. after i pulled the head piston looked fine till i pushed on piston one and it moved, the other piston didnt move . they look like wisco. ik for a fact there not stock pistons. my game plan : i ordered a new head from DAD'S new valves, spring, retainers, timing chain kit. ill be using my stock cam and rocker arms. head will be ported and polished same with the intake and header. i also ordered a t3 manifold, has a waste gate flange from tread stone performance. a tial waste gate set at 23psi. i have a different spring at 8psi so i can break in the motor. bottom end im going with, stock rods with arp studs, wisco pistons, decked and bored .30 over... just need to order a new clutch any seggestion ?? .. yes my plan is to push 23psi on a T04 turbo. i hope to be DD this at the end of next month. 88 conquest tsi. my mods are 4inch down pipe, and head studs. my head in cracked around each head stud. do i go with a stock head or is there a twin cam i can swap? if i stick with a stock head, what is this jet valve everyone deletes? what intake manifold can i run with it. i just rather do a head swap with another head, i rly feel like it would just be better in the long run.

my names tony im from long island, ny. a few months again i bought a 1988 Chrysler conquest tsi. so i bought my car from a junk yard and they were auctioning it off. they said the motor was blow. my father is a die-heart mopar guy and always loved it. we have 2 mopar pro-streets. i end up buying a rust free 80,xxx miles white with red interior. 4'' down pipe, arp head studs, everything else looks to be stock. someone took there valve cover off and spark plugs out. i noticed the heads cracked and spark plug threads are stripped. the head is cracked around every head stud, there for they over torqued it. she turns over, turbo is still good and bottom end is fine. btw before my father made me by this car i new nothing at all about it. i didnt even know what it was!!! im glad i bought it!!!! ok so here is my plan. body work and paint is my thing so thats no problem. idk what kinda head to buy. stock?? do i just go after market?? where do i buy one?? ik my user name is tonyy240 but im willing to sell my 240 to found my conquest cuz its that clean!!!!!! im gunna rebuild the bottom end to stock or just do a after market pistons and a bore. i want bigger injectors. i can port and polish so i will be doing a crazy port and polishing job. i will also need to get rid of the stock inter-cooler and piping. what do i do for a tune? do i just get a fuel pressure regulator? pretty much looking for a fully built top end and semi built bottom. would you know how much power that would get me? i dont have any pics cuz rn my car is covered under 3inches of snow and under 2 car covers. who ever takes there time to read this, and respond thank you for your time!!!
