Hey Gang, here it is, the Front Tri-Strut Bar some of you have asked me to make. As of now they are unpainted to show workmanship. The new Tri-Bars are made of 3/16 thick 6061 polished aluminum. Brackets are made of 3/16" and 1/4" industrial grade steel; they are laser cut and tig welded for strength and a clean finish. All fasteners are grade 10.8 steel. This is definitely a handling upgrade which helps to reduce chassis flex and roll while cornering.

Just to recap, the old Tri-Bars that were available more than ten years ago did good; they were made from lesser 6063 aluminum (electrical conduit) and mild steel.

Larger firewall base plate with 2 optional bolt holes for additional fasteners. Two self tap-in screws will be supplied or the upper firewall can be drilled for threaded screws using the wiper linkage access panel above the brake booster. The old Tri-Bar only had a small bracket and a single screw that held it to the firewall.

I will have 4 sets in black available by this weekend.
Price: $347 each + pay pal and shipping.

*******Anyone who has purchased a single bar from me can upgrade to a Tri-Bar. All I need is the front brackets sent to me. It will be modified and repainted along with the angle bars. The same cross bar that go across the strut tower will be reused. I will split the difference in terms of price. Cost to upgrade is $210 shipped *******

Strut bars are not DOT approved, use at own risk.

I would recommend using some of those threaded rivets in the firewall instead of self tappers, if you have the funds or access.

Thanks. A backing plate would be an overkill if that's what you like. I do as well. The firewall base plate is 1/4" thick steel and covers the surface from top to bottom. The base plate utilizes the top and bottom right angels in that area of the firewall for rigidity, yellow lines in pic outlines it.

Crashman, threaded rivets are cheap and plentiful and certainly an option. Not everyone has the means to used this method though. As mentioned before, the self tap-in screws are the easiest fastener/install option. Second would be to drill 2 holes through the firewall and use threaded fasteners. The cover plate above the brake booster gives access to the inner side of the firewall for attaching the base plate with nut/bolt option. I will include self tap-in screws and threaded bolts and nuts with each kit. The installer decides the type of fasteners they want to use.

Just to let everyone know, removal of the valve cover or engine only requires taking off the bar(s) not brackets. Bars are easy to remove, if needed.
