  1. Follow up note - I eventually installed the diodes as a workaround as the tach stopped working at one point, however, there is additional info here on using PIP: http://www.starquestclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=64771
  2. Nope. The motor doesn't really respond to more timing on race gas and I don't think the header is in danger of melting.. since it's been at the track a few times and spent a lot of time at boost.
  3. Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_group_member_name() in /home/starque/public_html/forums/includes/page_tail.php on line 36
  4. Mike, what part # is that? I've MELTED two K&N's that were coupled to my turbo inlet. Planning on doing what heefner has, a DIY K&N FIPK
  5. is "2-channel" just something that will emulate a narrow band? If so, the plx units do that. They have a non-guage display unit unit for 259.
  6. Yup. got one now. Still disappointed in overall leverage, but it's better now that the rears don't lock up. Time for big front brakes.
  7. Ignition-wise, it's very easy to tune. I don't drive it every day, but I could if I'd stop adding new mods.
  8. Perhaps you're talking about my setup. http://home.comcast.net/~kevin_Connell/mpi/wiring/page0.html
  9. Math is sound, but I used N/A BSFC, with a turbo BCSF it's more like 700hp, but whatever. Perhaps this "drag" car was using something other than gasoline?
  10. couple other links for all the ignition options http://www.msefi.com/msinfo/ms2/Ignition.htm http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/select.html
  11. So Mike do you run the valve cover KV to your turbo inlet or to atmosphere? I'm finding at the track (road track... G forces..) I'm getting oil out of the oil drain circuit filling up my seperator from the pan. I've got a KV sitting here uninstalled, but I'm wondering if any seperator or filter should be placed between valve cover KV and turbo inlet.
  12. Totally unnecessary with a stand alone ECU. Use the top of the fuel bins to force it rich if the boost gets out of control. By the way, just out of curiosity, what ECU and MAP are you using?
  13. why are you using a rrfpr with a stand alone ECU? That will just making tuning hard.
  14. Did you do the dave cap? http://www.msefi.com/msinfo/manual/mwire.htm#ignition
