  1. The box was around 15 bucks plus the cost of connectors and fuses so I think about 22 bucks to do each fuseable link box. I only have one done becuase the other is still in good shape. The FATT I got for 85 bucks new threw a local speed shop PANN AUTO I guess it was an older model becuase they are usually around a Hundred. I'll post the part numbers as soon as I get a chance to go to Pep Boys.
  2. Well it started up alittle better and as far as the voltage I couldn't tell Becuase I had a real flakey alternator that I didn't replace till this year. As far as the pics go I'll have to get a scanner or a cheap a** digitial camera to get these mods up. I need to go to pep boys and get ahold of the part numbers I'll get them to ya in a couple of days.
  3. I went ahead about two weeks ago and bought some of that Night Shades tail Light Blackout paint and Blacked out my Tail Lights. I think I'm the only one anyways to the Point In the next couple of years probably less than two I'm going to have alot of custom work done to my 88 quest the major things will probably be changing and updating those funky retro 80's style tail lights to a one piece blackouts with maybe Skyline style round lights when you apply the brakes. Also a new style head lights that eliminate the pop ups. Anyways I'm having problems finding someone due the work but when I source someone down and get prices maybe I can get a GP for them. There's still hope guys it justs takes time.
  4. When I first got my quest most if not all my engine wiring went to S#@*!. I guess one of the previous owners had the battery crack and let acid go all over the wiring and the fuseable links that sit in front of the relay box in the engine bay. Anyways I went to Pep Boys and bought a small fuse box replacement unit. I'll get the part number later for those who want to know. Anyways I went ahead and replaced the fuseable links with real Fuses and some of my wiring is now replaced. So hey just to let you know someone is doing something about the wiring its not that bad. ALSO I HAVE HOOKED UP A BLITZ FATT ( FULL AUTO TURBO TIMER) IF ANYONE NEEDS HELP ON HOW TO SPLICE IT IN THE IGNITION I WOULD BE MORE THAT GLAD TO HELP I KNOW THE COLORS FOR THE HOOK UP. Hardwired it up myself. Fellow Quester, Mike T.
  5. what about the wastegate I'm running a 17C so I don't think its possible just to turn the turbo.
  6. Hey I brought one awhile ago before reading a few other header ideas on this board and way before the GP. Anyways for the few who have it and installed it in thier car I was wondering how did you clear your hood line and how did you get your IC plumbing in without cutting your hood? I knew I was in for a challenge but this is crazy unless they sent me the wrong header.
  7. does that BCFPR work in conjuction with the stock FPR? Thanks for the help.
  8. I have a 88 Conquest Tsi that has had a rebuild on it. Right now I am running a 14g turbo and now that I've craked another head and have some money saved up I was wondering what type of turbo I should consider upgrading to with the stock fuel injection. I have upgrade my fuel pump to the Master that pumped Tsi suggested a long time ago and a AFPR from TEP. The problem right now is that the shop I had do my engine work awhile back had put in bad rings jacked up my block bored it out and never told me what type of pistons they used. I'm guessing they are just Hypereutectic pistons. Anyways the engine has had its B.S. removed a TEP cam and an UR underdrive pulley. So what type of Turbo should I get thinking of a super 16g or a 17c for now so it will give me a good baseline for the sds system conversion. Also where can I get an upgraded FPR I really don't want to spend 220 bucks for TEP BCFPR suggestions please thanks. Thanks, Mike Tellez Terror of the E.C. runs in S.D. CA.
