station
I'm wanting to swap the fuel pump for a Bosch 044 type, and want to know which terminals/connectors I'll need?I'm connecting to the immediate fuel pipe (to the fuel filter/engine) using a barb connector that should screw onto the 044 fuel pump. I have no idea on sizes so not sure which one to get. I removed the old one as it seized, but I got it running. It needs a tap when it's left for a while, so it needs replacing. The damper on the end is shot (but somehow manages to not leak yet): Unions were blowing fuel out as soon as the fuel system was pressurised, so I need to do it properly and safely: It's not possible to avoid corrosion and rust in the UK, we are constantly getting battered by all weathers and they grit the roads with rocksalt in the winter. I read ProfessorQuest's threads about 'CORROSION' and laugh. Must be nice living in the desert. My tank was full of orange and gloop. All the wire hooks were dissolved, all bolts seized. It has had an acid bath inside, but the outside is hopeless until I can find a decent replacement.

station
I'm on 'The Wirral', which is about 5 miles from Liverpool.I'd seriously consider paying for a 100% rust free tank.
ucw458
Just use a hose barb on the pump and 1 foot of 8mm fuel injection hose. Slip the hose over the hardline and use a good hose clamp. Are you planning on modding the crap out of your car? A bosch 044 is about 3x bigger than a TBI car needs. It will work but it's a bit overkill. TBI has 1700cc worth of injector. An 044 will support over 5000cc worth.

StarquestRescue
You can get the metric hose barb fittings from Matt Lewis Racing in the UK. Inlet http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOSCH-044-FUEL-PUMP-INLET-FITTING-UNION-FOR-12MM-ID-HOSE-PIPE-ZH-/121394122864?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c43a75070&vxp=mtr I do not see a listing for the metric outlet barb. But they can probably fix you up with something. http://stores.ebay.com/Matt-Lewis-Racing/Fuel-system-injection-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=7499950&_sid=112452222&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=4 You can get the out let barb from Taiwan. Or use a metric to 6an, and then get a 6 an hose barb. But the 5/16 / 8 mm fuel line you need will not go on a 6an push lock barb very well. You want some thing like this. http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performance+Products/555/100845/10002/-1 Cheeper and easier to get a walbro gsl392. At least here in the States. Here is a reliable vender. http://stores.ebay.com/Matt-Lewis-Racing/Fuel-system-injection-/_i.html?rt=nc&_fsub=7499950&_sid=112452222&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=
station
Thanks for the help!I'm just going to get a Walbro pump (like the one listed above) and get a duplicate copy of the Starion fuel line up to the screw on connector just in front of the rear bulkhead.Final question - what is the size of the screw in connector? Hopefully I can get it off (they're meant to be quite tight aren't they).
