So this is my build for my 89 Chrysler conquest.

The one below is the one im putting the built motor in

Not a spec of rust on it.

Goal is to run mid-high 12's.

 

Motor and drivetrain

Weisco pistons .40 over

Knife-edged crankshaft

Machined rods

Ported and Polished Marnel head

Screaming banshee cam

Mechanical rocker arms(stock hydrolic)

Stainless Steel 1mm oversized valves

20g Hybrid turbo

Fidanza flywheel

Act Clutch

I just got a Multiport Fuelinjection Kit(hurricane) to replace the stock.Heres a pic of the stock which only has a primary and secondary injector.

man they took a ton off the end of those rods,,,im tempted

knifed edge lightening

and balenceing takes another chunk off the rods

any idea off the total off each rod????

 

its gonna be a spinner,,,id say arps are a must period

The Dimple is on the end of the rod bolts.. that should be ARP bolts then.

 

Also looks like 234 rod balanced to #1 weight.

Crank looks good, who did the work?

Castillos crankshaft service in California.

They took forever with it.Bad communication.Everything kept getting pushed back.

 

they did a good job though.If you have the down time then i would go with them again.

There was a hole from where the battery ate away a 6 by 4 hole in the headlight motor on the drivers side.Patched it up and looks good as new.

Also the passenger side fram rail was bent up an inch or so so we struggeled to pound it back in place but it looks good now

Heres my teflon dual crankscraper.It only took me about 7 hours to modify AFTER they sent me one that didnt work and took a good 5 hours of my time

Since this picture i have planned on putting on a gt35r with chads manifold.The 20g is for sale with 0 miles on it.

um.....Im calling 11s when everything is running right and a clean pass.

Great idea hanging all the engine loom while painting. what brand of paint did you use to spray the engine bay? Was it an aerosol can?

i think it was dupont or 3m.I forgot.Not an aerosal can.Used a paint gun in the garage.We tarped everything off and soaked the ground in water so no dust would get in the paint and clear.

did you use a high temp clear? or do you think you will have an issue? i painted mine with 500degree stuff just to be safe.

Nothing high temp.It should be fine.

 

 

Im a 1st year electrical apprentice,blind drifter.i just turned 20 last month :D
