87-88-89
From my understanding the two side vents are metal on the 83 hood and the front center vent isnt, am I right? Whats the best way to remove paint from the front center vent without damaging it?
MPGorBOOST
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all three are plastic. I wouldn't use a chemical stripper on plastics. My recommendation is sand the pieces and apply a high quality flexible primer for plastics. I use rattle cans from SEM. Make sure to follow the grit recommendations set by the primer manufacturer that you use. Same applies for the color coat. While it's probably not necessary for these parts, you can also use an adhesion promoter from a company called bulldog. See link below. I use it on urethane bumpers, plastics and TPO parts. http://www.eastwood.com/flexible-primer-surfacer-aerosol-gray.html?fee=7&fep=2893&adpos=1o1&creative=61491481260&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&SRCCODE=GA220010&gclid=CNvd1uuYusUCFWoV7AodKyAALg http://www.eastwood.com/bulldog-adhesion-promoter-aerosol-15oz-etpo123b.html?fee=7&fep=50395&adpos=1o1&creative=61491481260&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&SRCCODE=GA220010&gclid=CLKR6ICYusUCFWoV7AodKyAALg

MPGorBOOST
I stand corrected/humiliated. The paint removal suggestion applies to the center scoop only.
BC_99
They also make chemical strippers for composite materials that might be plastic safe. BC_99
