dmostiler
I had to pull the steering box out and i'm about to reinstall it. It's been a pain, and I don't want to have to take it back out. Anyway, when I put it back in, is there a certain way to put the upper shaft back in the steering coupler. Does it just go in there any way, or should I have marked it when I took it out? I dont want my steering wheel to be off when i put it back together. I hope I made sense. Im pretty frustrated, but I'm trying to learn. Any help would be appreciated. techboy
Just make sure your steering wheel is straight when you reinstall it. If it's a little off when it's all back together, take the steering wheel off and just adjust that, it's way easier. It's on splines, so if you just adjust it left or right a few splines you can usually get things pretty straight. I had to straighten my wheel on my first Quest, and I just did it by removing the steering wheel and reinstalling it. Hope that helps.
