Bill Hincher
these bellhousings are for narrow block 4G63's I always strive to improve my bellhousings, this is an early casting I built that I cut up to find and improve on my original work, I test and design all my own stuff http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55redsign2.jpg I cut it down to find critical thickness values and thinned it down to loose excessive wieght http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55redesin3.jpg Then I re shaped it to include extra outside gussets and a upper heat vent http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55redesign7.jpg then the final shape was put into it for desired strength and draft for casting purposes http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55redesign12.jpg The final pattern is sent out for casting http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55finished3.jpg and these are raw castings http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55rebuilt4.jpg then the final products are machined and test fitted one at a time http://www.billsautofab.com/images/W55rebuilt.jpg you can see how its assembled at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvjLuQP8V0A Edited October 15, 2008 by Bill Hincher
Technology
Awesome. Is this your full time job or a hobby? Just wondering if you make a profit from these (which you should, I just hope they are worth your time because eventually I might buy something from you). Bill Hincher
I took the last w series bellhousing and put it on a diet I thinned the walls and expanded the rear facing, I included the EVO 4/9 bolt pattern along with the first and second gen narrow block and placed the bolt pattern for the pre 96 R 150 and 150 trans as well as the original W 55/59 transmission , while I was at it I moved the starter bolts in a way that it will accept either the FWD flywheel or the AWD flywheelhttp://www.billsautofab.com/images/WRseiesbellhousing1.jpghttp://www.billsautofab.com/images/WRseiesbellhousing2.jpghttp://www.billsautofab.com/images/WRseiesbellhousing3.jpg
thagremlin
How much do you sell these for. Are there any mods I would need to do to the tranny tunnel to fit this trans? With this adapter I can just buy any 6bolt 4g63 and bolt up the tranny with out having to Frankenstein a motor together.
Bill Hincher
the W series sells for under $300.00 bucks, comes with the slave cylinder and pilot bearing spacer, I also include a video of how it gets installed It fits either the first or second gen 4G63 with six or 7 bolt cranks and FWD or AWD flywheel depending on how you order it This housing will include the EVO 4 through 9 bolt pattern but it will use the AWD 7 bolt flywheel from the second gen 4G63 and a push style clutch Edited April 3, 2010 by Bill Hincher
