Before the flames begin. I know the 20g has been done on here, But this Tdo6h 25g 8cm sy/ty 9blade is ridiculous.
23psi with coil overs grabbing traction hard, breaks traction violently 😳 and I absolutely love it.
No itís not been dyno tuned but itís coming. I havenít even felt 4th gear on a much more than 5 psi.  If some of you big dogs that are running turbos this size or larger. Whatís your torque like. Mine is just Ridiculous at target boost and before.
Yes itís fat, 10.9 and low 11. Yes it idles rich. Better safe than sorry . Oil gets changed often.
Whatís your thoughts?

Glad you got it working Sgt.  I got like a one ring call from you a while back and wasn't sure if it was a mis-dial, but never got a follow-up text or anything.  400 wheel tq shouldn't be an issue but don't be disappointed if the HP isn't where you expect.

Roger . Had the military Drill going. Figured as much on the power though it will need a proper tune. It is fun though finally. Like all said itís night and day as far as response goes. Off boost is so good you donít mind or dare I say you donít notice lag if any. Still have a lot of brains to pick and heck of a lot of reading to do. 1st hits 20 psi so fast 2nd is crazy 3rd at 23psi scarey quick. I need a track and a dyno tune. Time and money.

Also any advice to point me in the right direction is appreciated. Itís a long road to reliable power. And expensive of shortcuts are done. Yes Iím guilty of some as well.

yeah... once close to 'dialed in', these old turds can scoot.... especially on the street with a well matched turbo
what timing r u running, and what type of fuel ?

Base timing set at 10btdc conservative thru the the map not to blow it up. She run better on 112 / 93 mix as well as the 93 / royal purple max. I will have to screenshot a timing table for you guys to make sure this is not hurting anything. Afr 11.1 to 10.9 cruising around 12 or so . Scared to lean more with that size turbo and no egt.

I'd lean it out at cruise....12:1 cruising only burning gas, fouling plugs/WB sensor, and diluting oil    Keep it bouncing around the 14.7 mark when really cruising (in vacumn to 0) ranges.  When you're driving and take your foot off the gas completely (high vacumn), what AF ratio you seeing?  Should go lean there for sure.

With those blades and the bigger exhaust housing....your HP/TQ numbers might be pretty square.  G54b a difficult engine to get big HP but that turbo may flow enough to get HP and TQ pretty close to each other.

Thanks for the info. When cruising and foot off gas afr goes to 14-15. I will try leaning out the cruise slowly. So tip in isnít compromised. Yeah the 25g is a good size and the o6h turbine has been known to hilarity own on the compressor. Did some searching and the 10cm housing is just laggier with no real benefit. Oh and itís a 9 blade so hopefully itíll make a decent enough number. 400 would be great but Iím not holding my breath. Torque wise car is a blast. Iím happy with it. Love seeing the faces of the unsuspecting muscle car when the rear tires break loose. First question ďyo what kind of car is thatĒ?

Well eased into more boost block shows me that 29psi is where it says easy now. Popped a freeze plug. Replaced and backed boost back to 25psi sheís happy there but my goodness is it strong at that level. 4th gear and boost is immediate and feels like a wave of torque. My 20g on itís best day didnít pull close to this. It seems that way to me. 6k rpm 4th gear trying to simulate a pull. I know already. Never had a car this strong the sy/ty housing with the 9blade 06h wheel is a great combination. Add chads header and a 284h cam and wow.

Turbolabs of america. Itís a Td06h 25g 9 blade turbine with a 8cm sy/ty housing. Ask for Austin 276-952-7965 heís on YouTube as well. Itís a bigger turbo than Iíve had previously and by far the most fun and scarey at the same time. Just make sure you get the fuel right . Itís a beast lol

Too much fuel will cause all sorts of issues. You should not be at that boost level. The only reason its doing it is because your blowing past your rings and the fuel/timing is not right. Your making judgements based on zero understanding and its gonna bite you.

It sounds like you have it running well enough. Bring it to a reputable tuner to dial it in. Day before you go:
retorque head
change oil and filter (drain oil filter into seperate container for inspection)
New Plugs (.025 gap)
Clean air filter
Top off radiator
Check over engine for things like mismatched vacuum connections, balooned/cracked hoses
Put good clamps on your intercooler plumbing
Proper tire inflation

Once thats done, raise front of car
Pull radiator cap and let your car warm up.
Check for leaks, bubbles in radiator, crank your heat up too.

Roger that. Exactly what I needed to know.  Thank you and this will be checked and rechecked.  Backing boost down as well. Finally got it running no need to blowing it up now. I appreciate the info.

I realize some of that should be a no brainer, but I truly believe 75% of us wonít do those things at least I wouldnít have done all being excited to dyno. Sticky it if not already and label it ďDyno Day for Dummies ď guarantee weíll get it then.

A few more things to check before dyno day should be

Battery charge
Transmission and Differential fluids
All power and ground connections
Belt tightness

There may be down times during tuning where adjustments are made and the key will be on so having proper battery charge is important.

Iím nervous and excited at the same time. Hoping for a good number. Exhaust had a serious leak and clogged cat. WhAt a difference in spooltime now. Boost creep ,so now going to need a external Iím sure.
