Kr0nus
Fuel Injection Pro gets my vote. FIP (Fuel Injection Pro) has a good base map to start with.

Kr0nus
I'm saying FIP because they have a good base map. You don't have to screw with it to start and drive your car.
Starcon88
you get what you pay for. Are you trying to say megasquirt is worse than FIP???
Vanishing Point
Which ever one you get make sure you can adjust the ignition timing.Probably thee biggest and important gain from programable engine management is the ability to play with the timing. Do whatever it takes to get that option.I went with the SDS. It was simple to install and tune with very good instructions and tech help. Prices have fallen. 570cc injectors will get you to 400HP with a good idle, Great choice. Tony
ZPI28
Does the FIP FC-PRO4 have the ability to adjust the timing? IF so I will go with it since they provide the harness and sensors needed. Here is todays progress.. http://skeeter.cz28.com/images/MPIcon8.jpg Steven

Funky Phil
What other EMs are user friendly and around or below $1500?go to the dyno thread. It tells who's running what and has their dyno sheets to back it up. 2 seperate ECU to control fuel and ignition . Sounds like Megasquirts first versionSo say it is MS. Its prebuilt, pre tuned, comes with all necessary hardware, good tech support, good price, and has available accessories such as the handheld tuner for great prices. Would it make you happier if they put them in prettier boxes? Now where is mine at! phil

ZPI28
Well DIYautotune sells the kit assembled for $410, FIP sells the kit with harness/sensors/and great support for $495. I will most likely go this route. Steven

Thats all i'm sayin I'm sorry but does it really matter who does something first? The fact is that FIP is doing it better now. I could care less if it was a straight Mega Squirt rip. FIP still has the only affordable plug and play system for our cars.
