  1. Don't want to get in his way or otherwise interfere with whatever update Frenchi's preparing, but it's been a couple days and... (Sorry Frenchi, but school isn't taking any time yet and I'm bored / want to see a bunch of finished pics!!!) I'd just like to offer him a congratulations on a great-looking build, having smogged it etc., and getting it out on the streets in such a short time! Yup, it's up and running. Running well, it seems (haven't see it yet).
  2. Me too - I wanna get a ride in this thing!
  3. Very nice lookin bumper repair! We're driving back to DE wednesday, so I probably won't be able to see it till next year
  4. http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html It's the non-redneck way of getting them to hold more boost.
  5. Didn't you already answer your question?
  6. Lookin f'in awesome man! One question (besides when do I get a ride ) - why do you say you're going to shave the gas cap lock?
  7. No, you don't; unless cashflow is (as I would imagine) an issue, it'll be a lot easier to do bushings while it already lifted and taken apart. things like control arm and subframe bushings can get tricky with a full car, even though they're far from impossible to install. I'd still reccomend, though it'll be a bit pricey, going to whiteline or energy suspension or somewhere and ordering every poly part they make. They usually add negligable NVH, and add precision you'll feel every second you're driving the car, vs. coilovers etc that only make a difference when flirting with the car's limits... just my opinion.
  8. Moar pics needed! ...lookin very nice, color me impressed.
  9. Are you going to be doing the engine bay with the same as exterior paint, or with a different coating to be more durable? There's one example o a water-based coating that was really really scratch & chemical resiatant and req'd no clearcoat etc... Ill try to ind and link in a second... I can't find it. Bleh. But it was a water-based, mostly metallic coating that he sprayed on with a normal paint gun, on the engine bay and interior of a race car. The giy hit it with hammers and scraped it with chisels and it was still fine, and it's supposed to be lighter thab paint.
  10. He's painting it himself at his [unkle?]'s shop if I'm not mistaken. Speaking of steering, Frenchi... installed steering rack bushings today (on a WRX for those who don't know me) and, having only driven it down a culdesac and back, they're pretty *ing awesome. If whiteline has things for Conquests / Starions... I'm satisfied on 2/2 of their products now ^^
  11. Lookin really nice Frenchi... Meanwhile, I'm at work trying to go through paperwork and caffeine (sp? lol) does not seem to work at 7am. Consider me jealous.
  12. And, do you have a true-straight edge to compare flatness of the decks? I assume if JA kept the block around the crank journals and everything are lookin pretty nice Lookin nice though, and you seem to've found a pretty nice community here Frenchi.
  13. So... is it just coincidence that there have been many Georgians here, or is this a Southeastern-based forum?
  14. Maybe when you were in high school, haha... awful to be reading my way thru COKE's resurrection thread and then see it's gone... looked like he did a pretty nice job on it.
  15. oh LAWL. Had no idea it was you, Kevin. ... I'll be trying to keep the admirably intelligent and restrained attitude on y'alls forum henceforth, while trying to add what I know (even though my Starion knoweledge is limited) Last edit: COKE, if you're still monitoring this thread, I see your updated signature and and sad. Sorry for the loss!
