PICS 1G BLAHA modified MAS
BullShipper replied to Boosted_One's topic in Engine and Performance Mods
MPI is the system everyone seems to be upgrading to with the 4 injectors and the fuel rail its more modern, efficient and creates more power. The TBI or Throttle Body Injection is what we (in the US) i dont know what the Brits have, but it is like a carburator setup, with 2 injectors instead of the float and all that stuff. It also has an Intake instead of air filter mounted on top. TBI is inefficient, testy and doesn't make big power MPI or Multi Port injection is much better than TBI -
Dude if we do this Ill be intrested for some 8.1's I need to do some stuff to the car after being spanked by an Audi

Replacing all struts...what do I need...
BullShipper replied to JessN16's topic in Rims, Suspension and Brake Mods
For the Front suspension All you need is the shock to put into the strut ( inserts) while the Back ones you put in the entire strut. -
Yes thanx Rich It was a very succesful and worthwhile GP Thank-you very much for your time and effort

I think that the VM should be broken in two 1 being the normal, what pistons are best? , or I am gonna change my tranny fluid this weekend what should I do. This forum has all the stuff people need to know for their cars but not instantly The 2nd one has requests for help, for projects that are being done at that instance or if people cars broke down and they need to go to work tomorrow A more "important" ( for lack of another word) forum So in summary 1 VM forum for long term or projects that aren't a high priority and for general advice The other VM forum for the project that is being done at the time of the post, and needs instant help What do you think?

is compressor stall the chirping noise when shifting?
-
Yea If you have the Auto as I did I placed the tranny cooler on top of the intercooler ( still got air thorugh the grill) with some JB WELD ghetto I know but it worked. The other alternative I know of since the narrow bodies have the smaller front bumper, is to get the wide body bumper ( I dunno if it will fit never tried) or cut out a part of your bumper near the bottom corner so the tranny radiator can fit in there.

Mine is pretty scuffed up as I am sure alot of the peoples here are Has anyone fixed it up I was thinking of going at it with some fiberglass resin and a gfiberglass mat with some sandpaper and try to find some rubber primer for some spray paint.

I have a frozen shock so I was looking at Tokicos but at the inexpensive places to get them ( Nopi.com) are out of stock Are KYB's any good
-
Wheres a good place to buy shocks
BullShipper replied to BullShipper's topic in Rims, Suspension and Brake Mods
I went to NOPI.Com and ordered there but they informed me the next day they dont have tokicos in stock and are not gonna get them again and that the manufactorer doesn't have them > I cant find them on tirerack either -
I agree TEP has a really fast turn around I have bought some injector clips and the HKS cat back exhaust on there Looking back the price is high, and I should have looked around, but they do have many parts
-
I was thinking about getting some Tokicos Is TEP the only place that sells these
-
Kelly when will you have them ready? I have been looking for a downpipe and didn't want to buy TEP you made them at the right time i guess
