  1. NACA Duct A low-drag inlet duct developed by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics after extensive research into the design of inlet ducts with minimum drag for jet engines. NACA ducts are used extensively on racing cars and some production models (such as the Lamborghini Countach) for efficiently feeding air to the engine, for cooling the engine and/or cockpit, and for channeling air to intercoolers and water and oil radiators. 2. Mike The ECU you have is out of a "88 Conquest. Feel free to open it and do what you need with it! Sig
  3. Kevin C Mike at Digital Tuning Inc. knows his stuff. He's been doing this for a long time. When I post on the boards I do not do so in order to start a contest in "Who knows best". If you reply in a public forum that you know better I recommend including data that supports the argument. Mike has been interested in giving this a honest try with the Mut-II scan tool but didn't agree on wasting time on having to justify his research. We all want cool stuff made for our cars wether it's 4 injector manifolds, short throw shifters, 3" exhaust etc... So here comes Mike at Digital Tuning Inc. willing to contribute to the SQ community, wouldn't it be politically correct to show the man some respect and aid him in his research rather than pretending to know better? I'm not going to debate this issue, rather I hope someone can tell me who I can possibly borrow or rent a Mut-II scan tool from so we can proceed with this idea! Good times, Sig
  4. Todd Thanks for your reply! I'm waiting to hear from Digital Tuning in regards to your reply! Will contact you once I have the answer from him. Sig
  5. Kevin Mike at Digital Tuning Inc. claims the Mut-II scan tool to be the answer in order to get the programming going Will have to look into it further. Sig
  6. Does anybody got or have access to the Mut-II scan tool? I've been in communication with Mike at Digital Tuning Inc. for awhile about programming the following (check the pics and the URL links) for our StarQuest's but he needs the Mut-II in order to make it work. Currently the product is made for the DSM cars. This setup is for the Palm Pilot and the Handspring Visor http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/datalog.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/view.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/log.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/logzoom.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/io.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/errors.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/soltest.jpg http://pocketlogger.com/images/screen/note.jpg Check the following links: http://pocketlogger.com/?page=screendsm http://pocketlogger.com/?page=prod I had a meeting with him in Arizona at the end of July this year. We hooked the Pocketlogger up to the diagnostic harness in my SQ but got no reading. He has my spare ECU and my Electrical manual so all he needs now is access to the Mut-II. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated! Sig
  7. Checked the URL, interesting data! Sig
  8. As of 10/07/02 early morning there are 2004 registeered club members on this site. How much programming would go into having a listing showing how many of the members rides are Blue, White, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Red etc. in The Info Center/Forum Statistics at the bottom of the Home Page??? SiG
  9. This is also refered to as "Community Circle". I could use the help of someone who can draw by hand. I'm working on a couple of designs that need the final touch. Don't know how it could be worked out, but would prefer if I could have the work done locally (S. Louisiana) so I could then possibly do mechanical repairs instead as a payment. I'm shure this could work for many people at least on a local "Community Circle" basis. Sig
  10. There are a few dedicated and giving individuals / legends that have made our community what it is today. I remember names like, Danzig, Vince Tucker to name a couple of people who's tips I enjoyed reading. Don't get get me wrong there are still great tips being posted. These are a couple of guys that have been around for awhile. I don't have the statistics on who and how long the current programmers and or moderators have been contributing to this community. It would actually be nice to see a datasheet that lists/ credits the current individuals who make the boards function. This might give us a greater understanding of how the Matrix functions. As far as I know StarQuestClub.com is Ryddler's creation. I don't know how, or who, or how much, time he or anyone else involved has sacrificed to make this all possible or how much expenses there have been $$$. How were the current moderators selected and by who? Wouldn't it be "politically correct" to have the current experienced Moderators decide who they think might be an asset to the S.Q.C. and therefore decide who should be invited to take on the duty of a Moderator. Say they have their person and the final approval comes from the "CEO" Ryddler. In my opinion this might help things from getting out of hand. It's ryddlers site, he's the CEO and seems to me like someone who is very reasonable. Therefore I don't do not challenge his "Executive" decision's. Has anyone besides Ryddler and the Moderators actually donated anything to the S.Q.C. to help pay some bills? Good Times, Â 8) Sig
  11. Can you make decals for the Side-Step. My SQ is red so maybe Yellow or ....what ever goes with each color. I'll take one set if you can! Please let me know, Sig

    Vendor Section

If the Vendors want to be a part of our SQ community maybe the right thing for them would be to register a user name and setup a profile. And since they are Vendors / Actual business why not have them send a little donation/contribution to StarQuestClub.com as a token for being invited into the "Vendor Box". This way we could avoid the pop-ups and all the other crap. We all know which vendors qualify don't we? One could also always suggest some vendors! Good Times, 8) Sig
  13. We could also list which States require Smog-Checks. E.g. California - Y Louisiana - N etc... Good times, 8) Sig
  14. Let’s face it; it costs $$$ to run the StarQestClub.com (S.Q.C.) domain. What about having a link on the web-site with info where one can send Donations / contributions to the S.Q.C. ? This could possibly be done via. PayPal or Money-Orders (Checks and Credit-Cards get complicated). Let’s say that you sell your SQ or some parts and make some $$$ Or you buy a most needed part for your SQ and save $$$ (mega bucks)! Wouldn’t it be just the right thing to do, to send a few bucks to our S.Q.C.com as a token of your appreciation? Without our strong community we would not be where we are today and without the boards our SQ’s might be inoperable in the garage… All donations / contributions can help pay for the S.Q.C.com domain and not to mention partly compensate for all the hard work Ryddler and co. put into the programming of the web-site. So fellow S.Q.C. members let’s hear your opinion! The more we compile our ideas the stronger our S.Q.C. community gets. Good times, 8) SiG
  15. I'd say 4 - 6 weeks. This way one would have to repost his or hers For sale/Wanted items and therfore have an up to date list. This will for shure avoid people having to reply to a listing that is no longer available or wanted! PLEASE everyone lets make it a STANDARD to post a STATE or a CITY where the item is available or wanted! Good times, Sig
