ARP Head Stud question

not if its a motor you expect to pull out an old head bolt and install an arp, you must remove the head, clean the holes and remove all the dirt and oil or lube from what came out of the bolt holes or you'll screw in the new studs, and you must either oil or put the moly lube on the threads they don't go in dry, then as you tighten them down the muck oozes up out of the bolt hole and gets to seep in under the headgasket -ruining it

its easier to put the studs in after you have the head on but you have to be careful about the oil on the threads that go into the block because you know that it IS going to come up and ooze out from the threads of that stud when you tighten it down with your fingers and where does it go? It just lays there in contact with the headgasket that isn't sealed...
