It will have a pipe attached that goes around the back of the head and connects to the primary cat. You don't really need it to pass smog unless the tech is a stickler for details. BTW: Your attached pic was no bigger than a "Thumbnail," I couldn't even tell what it was, just going off of what you said, & what the response was.
