I just fell into a deal on a '96 Mercedes E320 so the conquest has to go. The car is excellent shape, the only reason I am getting rid of it is because I recently moved out and cannot afford two cars.

-159,xxx on body etc.

-Engine was rebuilt about ~6000 miles ago.

-runs strong ~12 psi.

-approx. 215 RWHP

-HKS BOV

-*DM hardpipe

-Recent brake job

-Rear diff. just resealed

-new axle boots

-new front tires, rears are still in good shape

-power locks/windows

$3,000 OBO

-Call for more details (too many to type)

The benz has 215k and is mint. It has been garage kept its entire life and all scheduled service records at the local Mercedes dealership. I has only had 1 owner and it is my parents since it was new. The car looks and runs like it is brand new. These cars will last a lifetime if you take car of them. Maintenance is a little expensive but it is well worth it. I found my dad a steal on a '97 S600 V12. $10K with only 50,xxx. So he is letting me take the E320 for $3k. Just be careful, make sure the car has been worked on by a reputable mechanic, and not just ignored. If it has been well taken care of I'd say you could get at least 300K out of it.

Best of luck! Ill post some pics when I get it Monday.

I work on Mercedes every day...there is no way I would give up my SQ for a 210 body E Class! (well, maybe an E55)

'96 still had the 104 engine. Hopefully the headgasket has been replaced, front cover resealed, and the engine harness replaced in the past. Water pumps can be a pain on those engines, keep an eye on the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump snout. Higher mileage 104 engine cars tend to have water pump failures.

Your dad's V12 car is what we call a $1000 car...they don't roll through our doors without the owner spending at LEAST $1000. There are very few repairs that cost less than $1000 on the 140 body S Class V12 cars. Has it has the engine harness replaced? Basically your dads 120 engine is 2 of your 104 engines welded together.

You need to keep the ign tumblers lubed on both cars--ign tumblers aren't cheap after labor costs.

Good luck with both Benzes, but I still would not give up a good SQ for a dime-a-dozen E class. You can find a nice E class a lot easier than a nice SQ.

I know man, I didn't want to sell it but I cannot afford two cars at this stage in my life. I could not pass up the deal on the Mercedes. Someone in Memphis Indiana bought it. He said he would be getting on here soon. I really enjoyed having this car. I will have another one when I am financialy able. Thanks man. It was a great car from day one.

I'm glad to hear that you sold it for that reason and not because you didn't like it. This is your dad's Mercedes you bought right? If so, nice car.
