  1. Turned out to be a relay from another car entirely, now just working on figuring out where the rest of these plugs go
  2. So while I did not find these specific plug locations it seems like they are for the old AC system. That is judging from everything else being plugged in. I will find out for sure once I get her running.
  3. I did a cursory look before posting but had no luck, I'll check again though. I have a hard time getting my head around electrical diagrams.
  4. So I found on the side of the mystery relay some grease pen that reads "93 2.4 mitsu" and after a little digging it seems to be from another car entirely. Most likely for a Lancer Evo from what I found out the evo forums. Maybe the mechanic was experimenting. Either way that is one mystery solved.
  5. Hello again all, Pretty sure the mystery relay in my last post ( http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149581#entry1503914 ) ended up being a relay from another car enrirely. Now onto my next problem with cleaning up the mess that is my passenger side. Every thing that needs to be connected looks connected but these 3 plugs http://imgur.com/g9oafNW I'm pretty sure the middle one is for the ECU diagnostics test. I think the one on the left is for an AC component long since deleted. I have no idea what the plug on the right by the ECU itself is. As always all comments and help are appreciated.
  6. Yeah I'm still trying to figure out where this relay goes, found it by the kick panel, doesn't plug into anything down there, could be an ECI relay http://imgur.com/yttjqwb
  7. I've already refurbished the air day as well as painted the hood vents which I will post pics of soon.
  8. Well it's finally come to this, had this car a couple years and it's never run quite right. Unfortunately after getting back from a local shop who had it for 6 months, not only did this shop not fix my problem they towed my truck back to me with it a the glove box and kick panel taken apart, under the hood it the relay covers were taken out. That coupled with the fact the fuel tank and lines need to be drained and a paint job this is has just become a restoration project http://imgur.com/1XBAgUb http://imgur.com/Gjq2pL0 http://imgur.com/hirGDXg http://imgur.com/F2zmbcO
  9. ... Huh this isn't good, it seems that the mechanic not only did not do use the parts I got him he also left it I pieces. The kick panel and glove box were taken out and the ECI and main relay are hanging out, along with a relay just sitting on the floor. It ink stampings that read E8T08471, The out side is also covered in some sort or black felt. Where the he'll does this go? It doesn't seem to plug into any if the plugs that are here? http://imgur.com/a/YTexW http://imgur.com/yttjqwb
  10. Just got the car back, turns out the mechanic didn't actually change anything. All the parts I brought him are sealed in the boxes
  11. Fuse links were cleaned shortly before, my problems's started right after I changed the vac advance. You can read a little more about it in the post I made a while ago. Here is the link http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148410#entry1503713
  12. Will do,I'll be getting my car back tomorrow. On Sunday my friend and I are gonna work on it if the weather holds.
  13. Hi all, I'm currently not getting any spark for starting my 87 starion. Replaced both the knock box and whole distributor. Thinking of replacing the ECI relay up above in the kick panel just above the ECU itself. There is someone near me willing to give me his out of his 86 Conquest, my question is are these interchangeable? I looked on rockauto and it seems that way but I want to be sure before having him waste his time taking his car apart.
  14. An update albeit a disappointing one: After six months away with a local mechanic here i am getting it towed back to my place with no progress. Since it had been sitting for close to six months, my next project is to simply pump all the stale fuel out of the lines and tank and sand the rust off the hood. The only real bright side is that the mechanic didn't charge me and is paying for the tow to my house at cost to him.
  15. Wow, you all have a better eye for detail than me then haha
