Identify wire on Ignition Coil --black wire/red stripes

What is this wire for?  Does it go to the positive or negative terminal on the coil?

That's a ground that goes at the bottom of the knock box iirc

FSM shows it's ground #9 that goes to the bottom of the relay tree.

Oh ok.   So it doesn't go to the coil at all

It grounds at the relay tree
