New to the forum,

Recently bought this '88 to fix up.

Haven't done much to it yet.

Today the weather was great so I did a little tinkering.

It had both passenger windows broken out when I got it.

The previous owner had the hood release cable rigged up through the grill so I replaced that with a new one.

I also started pulling some trim pieces to start prepping for the body work.

Taped off the vents because we get a lot of rain in Oregon.

And last, pulled the rear bumper skin.

I'm going to start pulling off the front end trim next and then start sanding.

Anyone know of a better body filler than bondo to use?

Also on a side note, who knows where the A/C service ports are?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Anyone have any advise on charging the A/C?

besides the fittings at the compressor you may also want to change your drier. I would also take it to a shop and have it put on the A/C machine so that all the r12 is recovered, that way it doesnt contaminate your R134

Made a little more progress on the quest today.

some of the bumper skin bolts broke when I was removing it.

initially tried using Matco left hand drill bits and extractors.

Didn't have luck with that, but I was able to drill them out and tap the threads.

Did a little rust clean up with a wire wheel and used some black primer so seal it up.

Not a Starquest, but I thought I'd share this with you guys while I was at it.

Pulled the front bumper from my Plymouth cus it was dented.

Got one in better condition I will be putting on soon.
