emagdnim
Only the best for my car.... I don't know about you... but the "plumbers" tape wasn't cutting it for me. This is actually for your CAR, self adheres to itself, water proof and has a temp rating over 250 deg. won't leave a slimy residue and pretty much turns to a "rubber" like feel once finished. It's not super shiny ethier... http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/6493/picture001fy3.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/6831/picture004zh9.jpg $10 bucks a roll! emagdnim
For joining, splicing and repairing of wide range of power and distribution cables. Specifically designed to meet the temperature requirements for the joining and repair of cross link polyethylenes cables where overload temperatures of 266F can be encountered. To apply: simply unroll tape, remove liner, stretch to approximate 3 times unrolled length and apply overlapping and keeping tension on the tape at all times. TECHNICAL DATA Thickness: .020 Inches Elongation at Break: 800% Water Absorption: 0.05% (24 hours) Corrosion Liability: None. Flammability: Similar to that of Polyethylene Dielectric Strength: 36,000KY This insulating tape shrinks to a waterproof seal as you wrap. The electrical properties show a high degree of stability under conditions of use. When applied under tension the tape amalgamates rapidly to provide a void-free homogeneous wrapping without the need for external heat or pressure. Ken_B.
Vulcanizing tape. Been using that stuff for years. Dad's an electrician, so there was always plenty of it around the house. It's good stuff. Ken B.
