CaliConquestAlex
Like the title says, I'm looking to find out if anyone is successfully running launch control (anti-lag) with megasquirt on a G54B. If so, would you mind sharing your settings such as the spark retard, launch RPM, and ignition cuts of x from y events?
scott87star
Of all the builds I've done with launch control Phil (Phinko) has the most experience with it and uses it very successfully. PM him.
jszucs
Isn't launch contorl and anti-lag two completely diffrent things?
Funky Phil
It depends on your setup. One size doesnt fit all.If you dont cut enough spark, youll push right through the limiter. And use whatever rpm it takes to spool your turbo to the desired boost. I have mine setup to accomodate using a pro-tree. For a Full or showoff, i would set it differently. The window between soft cut and hardcut should be wide (5-800rpm) to begin with. Hope that helps. CaliConquestAlex
That does help. Phil, do you know what you have the spark retarded to for launch? By default mine is set to retard timing to 1 degree, but I've seen people use 5 or 10 degrees on other setups.
Funky Phil
What ever it take to get the required engine load to spool. Mine is at 5*. Just remember, pulling time is gonna make thing HOT so dont go too crazy. Start with a low rpm (1-200rpm prior to full spool on you datalog). Leave timing at 10*. And just adjust the spark cut. See how much boost it makes. If not enough, up rpm a couple hundred and see if it responds. leave timing alone. Keep your hardcut 800rpm above soft and work on pulling spark to make it stay in the window.Once ot starts making a couple psi, then pull 1-2* out and see what it does. Test it out in short durations. Unless you wanna see what Tuliped valves and blasted/melted guides act like. My launch control is active above 30% tps.Keep in mind, If the car isnt set up, and it hooks with boost, you will break stuff.

Funky Phil
Unfortunatley, that was a test pass during TnT. Wish I had a headsup video so you guys could see the way I use the soft and hard limiter while staging. A touch tricky, but if I wanted it to be easy, I woulda went with an auto.
