Verizon iPhone4

I've been in the market for a new phone for several months and finally pulled the trigger on the Verizon iPhone4. As an existing Verizon customer, I got the option to pre-order my phone on 2/3. It should be here any day now.

Just wondering if anyone else got in on the pre-order deal and what your looking forward to with the phone, mainly apps & fun stuff. I'm new to the whole "smart phone" thing, figured I'd give it a shot.

I also picked up this case thingy. Being a former machinist, I couldn't pass up a CNC aluminum phone case with a carbon fiber back plate. I got the orange w/black.

I agree on that. I only have 2GB on my blackberry and it's far from full.

Just checked and they aren't taking any more preorders. I need to go down to verizon and play with some phones. Kinda out of the loop on new gizmos.

Yeah, they were done taking pre-orders by Thursday afternoon. I'd forgotten all about the whole situation and just happened to order one before they stopped.

I've tinkered with my friends' AT&T iPhone 3g & 4, and they seem pretty awesome.

P.O.S.??

Tell me more

Terrible battery life, Error messages all the time. I open my message application and it freezes and deletes all my texts. Also when I go into my text messages I click on one person and it pulls up another. Making me send text messages to the wrong people.

I got my droid when they first came out. I could have gotten a lemon one, but I will never buy another droid phone ever again.

Haha, both my HTC Incredibles, with Android operating system 2.2 are doing great. Just installed an app that automatically notifies you on new listings posted to craigslist matching your keywords. I got the jump on people now, haha.

The built-in sleep button is a little too deep into the case. When assembled, it wanted to hold the button down all the time.

I fixed it this morning though, you just have to remove the little padding piece from the underside and it works fine. :)

I've noticed a slight depletion in signal with the case on, but that was at my house, which has questionable reception at times.
