Only thing on the road during the week long ice storm we had here in ohio.Loads of Rust! had 160,000miles when I bought it, I put another 200.000miles on it. SOLD it for $900 7th89 Honda Prelude *Crap car 8th86 Civic *Crap car, traded it for a transmission for the car below 9th88 Honda Accord 10th91 Chevy Lumina Hated this car! 11thPlymouth MiniVan can't remeber year I gave it to a friend for free 12thAnother Quad 4 Cutlass, Bought for $25, left it in a parking lot (forgot where Never found) 13th 1993 Pontiac Sunbird- My boss gave me this car just to get it off his lot. 14th87 VW Fox- four door 15th93 Honda Accord 16th1985 Nissan 300zx Sold very fast Quit the car lot at this time, I sure do miss the cheep Cars! 17th 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE- My friend and I used green boat vinyl to make a new interior. Beat that car hard! Just wouldn't die. 325,000miles sold for $550. 18th2001 Sentra SE 2.0L Sold last month for $1500 had almost 300k miles and RUST RUST RUSTRAN LIKE A CHAMP! and paint still would shine. Walker Posted March 5, 2013 Report Share Posted March 5, 2013 1) 84 camaro with an iroc engine .....ran like crap and was barely driveable and never got it above 45 mph...but it was my first car 2) 89 camaro rs .....weak car but was in very good shape....and i loved camaros back then 3) 91 nissan maxima ....extremely fun car...sporty and fast...very similar to the conquest in little ways with the sun roof and auto seat belts 4) 01 saturn L200...i still own this car 5) 98 sebring convertible .....was totaled in an accident 3 weeks after purchase by a stop sign runner 6) 99 sebring convertible Limited......wife got this in the divorce 7) 98 buick park ave ....got this from my work...was once a company car for salesmen....i still own it 8) 89/87/87/88 quests/starions ......one drivable....one a parts car.....one being restored...the other i just bought off Brian and will be an engine swap in the future Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hopping to hit 200,000 this summer. Then i acquired a 1973 Mercedes Benz 280C in real good shape. a friend got tired of looking at it. the car itself was perfect except for the motor not running from sitting so long. It was a fun car to cruz in. (Sold) Then i got my first conquest. but two weeks after i got it, the motor blew. it was a blast while it lasted. Just finished a 1jz/ R154 swap on it. While i was deciding what to do with the 1st Quest, i found a good deal for two in Wisconsin One needed a motor rebuild and the other was a parts car. I am currently daily driving it until I get my neon fixed. it would be nice to get better than 20 mpg again. Loved that car. 4. 1998 Dodge Ram SS/T - Dad gave it to me needing work, fixed it up when I sold the Conquest...owned it for quite awhile. Traded it for my current 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L 5. 1985 Dodge Omni GLH - will own this one forever. Resto project thats been going on for 5 years. Getting a GLHS engine swap 6. 1985 Dodge Shelby Charger - never drove it...needed put back together (bought apart)...sold 7. 1988 Horizon - Bought for $100, drove it home...got a good carpet, battery, and a few odds and ends off of it. Sold it for $200 and got a 555 FWD Dodge trans in trade. 8. 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited - Jeep #1. Bought it for $800 with a bad trans...had water in it...changed the fluid and filter and ran the piss out of it...traded it for an RX7. 9. 1988 Mazda RX7 convertible. Fun car...but not good on gas like I figured it would be...didn't own it long. Traded it on my srt4. 10. 2004 Dodge Neon SRT4 - Loved it...like an idiot tried FWD drifting. Don't work like RWD. Ran into a curb. Got insurance money and sold it to Coke...lol 11. 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9L - Traded my Ram SS/T for it. Jeep had 71k miles on it at the time. Still have it at 92k miles. Love it. Quite quick for a Jeep. 12. 1972 Datsun 510 - overpaid for it. Replaced every bit of brake line and harness in that car. Body was rough but I planned on ratting it out..."great running engine" that was included with the car was a POS. Got ticked off and traded it for a 200sx. 13. 1998 Nissan 200sx SE-R. bad little car. Previous owner built it for rally cross. Thing would walk just about everything in my area, and was ugly as hell. Haha. Fun car. Like a dumba**, wanted another Conquest, so I traded it.... 14. 1987 Conquest TSI - Traded vmstsi my 200sx for it. Said he fixed the rust. Car was a piece of rusty s***. Yanked the engine and had it gone over...brand new had no oil pressure. Was so distraught that the car was worthless, sold it for near nothing. Could've parted the motor out for more. 15. 1987 BMW 325e - Shouldn't have gotten rid of this car. Probably my favorite. Loved it to death. But it was quite slow, and Pennsylvania roads gave me a headache from daily driving a stiff car built to handle, so I traded that one as well. Dumb mistake. Shouldn't have done it. 16. 1988 BMW 735i - Rode like a cloud, ran damn good. But wasn't me. 17. 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4 - bought it "blown up" for $1700 from a mother who's son was in jail (for running from the police in said SRT4). Needed a headgasket and water pump. Sold it for $4500 two weeks later. Was faster than my first one. 18. 1989 Mazda RX7 convertible - had a bad coolant seal. Wasn't disclosed to me. Offloaded it for near nothing. 19. 1996 Dodge Ram Indy 500 Pace Truck - Still have it. Has some cancer, but I'll bring her back. Reminds me of my SS/T, but more rare. Joint venture between me and my dad...so I can't get rid of it :/ 20. 1987 Dodge Charger GLHS 820 - Fastest thing I've ever owned. Supposedly at around 300fwhp. Thing would spin 1st-4th. Ran right for the first week of my ownership...tried getting it going good again...was moving back to Florida and couldn't chance it breaking on the way down. Sold it to a guru who pulled it all apart to fix all the issues from the previous owner before me. Burton Posted April 24, 2013 Report Share Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) for you few you do realize every time you use the words POS , your referring to the owner , right ,an automobile is only a tool , it's condition is an indicator of owner's care of it's maintiance Most of the time that's true, but there are some cars that are just junk right from the get-go. A friend's parents bought a early 90's Lumina new, and it went to the dealership for repairs pretty much monthly. They fought with GM the first 3 years they owned it, and when the factory warranty was about to run out, they told GM they could buy the car back, or get hit with a lemon lawsuit. Needless to say, GM bought the car back. I've also heard of people building the cars in the factories who either play pranks or do a poor job, causing build quality issues later. Brian Bosworth even brought up how when he worked in the Corvette factory, he left nuts and such inside the shell of some cars during assembly, that would create rattles that could never be fixed. I sure wouldn't want any American car that was built the day after the Super Bowl... everybody's hungover and there are sure to be mistakes. Not all cars are created equally... The Jap cars were way more reliable than other cars in the 80's and 90's , and while even newer cars are much more equal, a quick look at Consumer Reports will show vastly different ratings for different cars in many categories. Of course, once you have what you got, then the owner's maintenece will be key. A car predisposed to being unreliable will be even more unreliable if not well cared for, but can be kept as reliable as possible with the proper care. Something more reliable might not need as much care, but will also go to crap if not taken care of at all. I've had a few cars that were absolute crap... wether it be from improper care of the previous owner, or just was not the most reliable, and even with plenty of maintenence, they still seemed to always break down. After a decade away from MR2s, last year I got a wild hair up my @$$ and went out and bought a 94 Turbo MR2.I forgot how well made and fun to drive these cars are. Best daily-driver ever.
