  1. wow! thanks a lot for that, exactly what I was looking for.
  2. some really nice help I'm getting. hahahaha, j/k. to me it looks like battery acid, there's also some on the rear seats on like 2 separtate places, I have no idea how all of that could've happen. And I do have a garage, but not really that much time, I just want to get the car on the road, and rebuild the engine maybe after two or three years, when money is more abundant. And what are some emissions-related things that could be wrong, so that I could check them out? And what should I do to make the car safely rev above 5K RPM without fearing the engine exploding. I have an extremely tramatizing experience that happen to me about 3 weeks ago, my friend was driving his car, with me in it, on the highway. We were on our way to check out a university 300 miles away, going about 120mph the whole time, about 30 miles from the university, something exploded, we thought it was a tire, but we found the engine on fire, and the whole frekin car burned down. I was a '90 camry with the same miles as mine. I don't want this to happen to me, even though I'm not gonna drive THAT fast on highways.
  3. I a week ago bought an '88 Conquest for $200! And I drove it home! The guy crashed it a little, the bumper, fender, and headlight are messed up. The guy included a new bumper, new taillight, and rear hatch, all of which need to be replaced. It was a hell of a good deal, so I bought it. I was shocked when the guy put in a battery and started the car right up with no problems. The car didn't pass emissions after the crash, so it's been sitting in his garage for 4 years. It has 157,000 miles. My biggest concern right now, is that the car's not passing emissions, I noticed a lot of vacuum hosing missing, particularly to the FPR, so that's one of the reasons, but there must me something much much bigger. When I started the car one day, and reved the engine to about just 3K RPM, a crapload of water came out the exhaust. It looked like ordinary dirty/oilly water, without an odor. So what could be the cause of that? I'd like to know all the stuff I should do to the engine to make it run safely and reliably at stock hp. What do I replace or what. I'm gonna do the vacuum hosing, that's one thing, and I need to know where I can get the vacuum diagram, if anyone can tell me the sizes and lenghts of hosing I'll need, I'd appreciate it. I'd really appreciate all the help I can get, since I want this Conquest to return to the road and stay there. Here are some pictures of the car the day I got it (before I cleaned it up ): http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/Zoskalon/Conquest/
