  1. Cast iron log FTW. The stock cast iron manifold worked great on all the Starions that won endurance road races back in the day. Tube headers generally suck on every level. This conclusion was reached after installing and running them on a couple aspirated V8 engines. I can't even imagine how much they would suck with red-hot and then cold turbocharger bolted up to the tubes. Iron log!
  2. Flush all the old fluid and bleed the system with some new stuff. Water in brake fluid will cause it to boil. No brakes! There's a hose from the booster to the manifold that gets pretty crusty too. A leak there and there will be problems.
  3. That van really was awesome. Cool owner too. Good times.
  4. I posted up a few more shots over at the Clunkbucket... JDM Astro Van and Resurrected Corolla
  5. Where in the bay area do you get that kind of machine work done right for a good price? It is amazing what they're casting these days... 4G54 Engine Block
  6. Maybe we should have a daylight meet at the boneyard. Moss Landing Pick-n-Pull?
  7. It was great meeting everyone and seeing so many cars! The truck is awesome. There are a heap of pictures over at Clunkbucket now too. Thanks again all! Starions for Everybody
  8. I'll be there. Who's got the black Starquest that's parked by Redwood City Land Rover sometimes?
  9. The other Starion in Pebble Beach was mine. I find the gorilla brand tape is good at holding together the '87 three piece air dam. I think mine is currently in seven pieces or more. The Griffith radiator is 1000% awesome. And now, a word from the shameless promotion department at Clunkbucket. CLUNKBUCKET
  10. Hey. How about that? That is my car but that's not me running the check. That guy has an award winning red Starquest that he's owned since high school.
  11. Awesome pics too! Great meeting everyone yesterday. The donuts came from Chuck's Donuts in Redwood City in the back of the Starlet.
  12. The Starlet will definitely be there, dents and all! Here's a last minute announcement on Clunkbucket. Clunkbucket: Everything but the same old cars
