  1. Sold as of last week. Thanks guys.
  2. FOUND IT. Okay. Problem resolved. There was a wire that was pretty much disentagrated from the battery to the relays on the driver's side strut tower. Once I fiddled with it things started working again. Thank you, I should have been more patient. Looks like it's time to replace some wiring.
  3. I don't get it. I have been driving it daily without problems. I got home today, rolled up the windows and walked away. When I came back out an hour later the windows wouldn't power down. Everything else is working with the exception of the windows, buzzer, and the pop up headlights (the lights are on though). All the fuses are good in the box in the driver's footwell and the box under the driver's seat is secure. Everything worked this morning, where do I look next?
  4. Loaded Chrysler Conquest TS-i widebody turbo. It is Atlantic Blue with black leather interior. Very clean car with a clear title in-hand. REBUILT performance 2.6 SOHC 4 cylinder with Wiseco pistons and rods, all new bearings and seals, balance shaft elimination, non-jet head, and rebuilt 18g turbo. Have all the receipts for the motor. Runs fantastic without any smoke or trouble. Synthetic oil. 127,000 on the car, 2,000 on the rebuilt motor. Other mods include cross drilled/slotted rotors all around, 1g DSM MAF sensor, and window tint. Everything works from the power windows and locks to the cruise control. The only two things I know that do not work is the A/C and the rear windshild wiper. Fast car, but has some minor body damage/minimal rust. Nice 1 piece front air dam comes with the car. Great wheel. I have used it as a daily driver for those 2,000 miles so it has not been beat or abused by me at all. Asking $2900 Call, text, or email 660-441-7680 Located 50 miles east of Kansas City, Missouri See the ad on craigslist too:http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/1749954997.html
  5. Oh do not fear, there will be some bumps.
  6. Guys, thank you, thank you, thank you for some positive comments. I know that it is not a professional video and there are tons of flaws, we are not trying to replace Top Gear (that idea is idiotic), it was just cheap fun and we had a good time and turned the cars for profit. It is just for fun. You guys here are being great sports; I posted this on the 3rd Gen Eclipse forum I am on and they totally trashed our efforts and said it is all crap. I say if they want to be jerks about it, they should make their own and let us see it. So again, thank you for the comments. We thought about not posting anything but then thought a couple of open-minded people like you guys might enjoy it too, so I am glad someone likes it. -Tyler PS: I knew you guys were just messin with the Omni body comments, I like the feedback.
  7. Forgive the miscommunication of Greg's use of K car. He was going for the idea of the fuel misers that saved Chrysler's tail in the 80's as a collective group. We did enough research ahead of time to know the background on our own cars so he did know that it was an L body. In my opinion (as the video editor) the next two segments are waaaaaaay better than the first. Please keep with us. -Tyler
  8. Yes, I know the title is cliche, get over it. The next segment of the Hatchback Hootenanny is up. I am really surprised how many people are rooting for the Plymouth, very interesting. The link should be good, but it is very fresh so it may not work. Just search Hatchback Hootenanny on YouTube if this fails. There will be 3 total Challenges: #1 Junk in the Trunk, #2 Timed Road Run, and #3 Sedalia City Challenge. Thanks everyone for the feedback and interest. -Tyler
  9. You know, the three of us would be waaaaayyy better presenters than the pilot episode that Adam Corolla and those other two did for an American Top Gear. I would quit my career so fast to do something car-related that would be a solid job. I love cars and want to do something with them but teaching is a lot safer of a job (and I love it), as far as retirement and benifits. I just know I DO NOT want to wrench someone elses vehicles every day or sell them. Part Two is going up today or tomorrow; I'll let you guys know.
  10. Feel free to share this with any group. For the amount of work that was involved it should be shared with everyone! Thank you for the positive comments, it was a lot of work to put it together. I have had to do it myself because the other two guys dont have enough computer power to handle the 20 gigs of video we collected. Should I post the link for Part 2 in this forum or in a different section? -Tyler
  11. Thanks guys! The challenges are pretty decent. The cars were great, I miss my Escort. I had $250 in it and drove it for all of my student teaching semester. I put like 4,000 miles on it then sold it for $600. Stay tuned for more. -Tyler
  12. I am new to the Starquest crew and I thought this would be an interesting introduction. My brother and I are avid followers of BBC's Top Gear. So one evening we were (re)watching the Cheap Car Challege episodes with the cheap sports cars (with the Starion) and the cheap Porsches. Steven, Greg, and I thought that we could find a real set of cheap cars and mimic the show. We set the rules and this is what we came up with, the "Hatchback Hootenanny". We never intended for the cars to actually be road-worthy and legal, but we found some amazing (ha) cars, and the price + making them legal ended up being less than $300.00. We took our cars and planned out 3 challenges to "test" them out. We borrowed 4 of our friends and a Honda CR-V along with 4 HD Sony digital cameras with tripods and suction mounts. The videos are not anything to be proud of, by any means, but it was EXTREMELY fun to do. If you enjoy some homemade car videos then enjoy our attempts. The Hootenanny will be released in 4 segments, plus the original music video trailer. As of 2/23/10, the trailer and Part One are online. The others will follow. Be gentle with comments, we know it is not the best...just fun. The Trailer: Part One: If either link doesn't work for you, simply type "Hatchback Hootenanny" in the YouTube search box. Enjoy!
  13. I recently purchased DS window switches before taking mine apart and cleaning the connections (lazy, I know) and found that mine work just fine. So, I would like to just turn it around and sell the one I bought for the same price: $25 shipped to anywhere in the US. Hit me up. Texting is best. 660-441-7680 Tyler
  14. I am in need of a good center link for the steering on my '87 TSi. I have searched many a time to no avail and my buddy at the dealer cannot get it anymore either. Please let me know what you have, with a price plus shipping to 65336. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Tyler
