Did this turn into like a giant headache of a project or just distracted with other projects? Just curious as we have been threatened with pics and vids for months :P

It actually became VERY expensive to build this product. It also kept getting enhancements because we just weren't happy with the design until it was crazy expensive to build 'em. Now we'll be selling these kits at a loss, but atleast they'll be awesome.

These kits will be limited because the build cost is ridiculous....maybe 30 sets total.

Thats wild. Im sorry to hear it went like that. Wish it would have been profitabble with all the time you must have spent on them. Win some you lose some i guess

Here is how the kit ships with each of the LED Tail Light Lenses completely assembled for a quick install:

Here is the link to the installation instructions. This instruction set is for Kit#1 which has 3 red LED lights per side, which is the basic package and easiest installation.

Kit#2 has 2 red LEDs and 1 Amber LED per side. This kit comes with an adjustable circuit for controlling Amber LED blink speed as opposed to an LED blinker module like Kit#1. Kit#2 does require installing 2 additional wire runs to convert the SQ from a 3wire design to a 4wire design.

Kit#2 Coming Soon!

Here's a video of the conversion kit in action:

This set is wired up a little weird with 2 red and 1 amber per side, and the reds are also wired to parking while the amber is not. Normally a sequential version of this kit would have 3 red per side and all would be wired the same (park, brake, turn). However, I think it gives a great idea of the general operation and customizability:

maybe I missed it but what about the reverse lights?

Easy.... just slap an LED license plate based backup light and you're done. It's amazing how bright these things are, even through my limo tinted windows I can see great:
