Hi everyone,
trying to post a new thread, however it won't let me,

basically i am in talks with eibach at the moment about producing (again) the pro kit for starions.

what i was interested in was any feedback from people who have these springs fitted (not the eibach ground control)

and if possible you could say how low it has dropped the car and would be nice to see some pics of how the car sits

thanks for any help

Sig pic is on eibach's. I have better pics I can get you later. I will say that the springs are fantastic on a street car. The progressive rate of them makes for a great ride quality. I'd call them better than stock but not really a "performance" spring in my opinion. When running those I was able to take a hard corner and dive my airdam into the ground. This was with prettty sticky tires on the autocross course, but i'm sure you get the idea.
IIRC they drop the car 1.5" - 2"

All the lowering springs are way to soft for performance use. The sleeve over kit would be better. You would be able to change out sprins.

the dude in the honda said, i thought you said your car was slow, my response was.. well you said yours was fast so i guess we both lied.. haha

I have a set, not mounted yet. I remember they dropped my 86 1.5" and had a great stance and good performance matched with Tokico Blue's, better than ST's and KYB's imo

Even cosmos are better for me than the ST or Eibach springs, but I run them pretty hard.

I usually advocate for D2s also, however... I think what you are trying to do is great.

Options for people that want to have new sportier springs to replace worn out OEM and stay on a stock style suspension, is a great thing. Not everyone has the $1k to spend on coilovers, or the ability to install/fabricate/weld them. Not everyone wants their car to drive and ride like a race car...these eibach springs are a good compromise by a reputable company. Good work, and I hope you can get them interested in making springs for this community again.

As for your D2setup. You can probably get some softer rated springs and take some of the rough bounce out of them. But they are still coilovers and will still be stiff.

Good luck.

I agree on the price and keeping it stock well said BC.

i love my D2's
they ride amazingly well for daily driving.
my ST;s started to sag after a few years.
the spring that was used seem to be thinner
then stock.  if i went in to a turn hard i could
feel it bottom out on the bump stops.

Thanks for the input guys,
maybe its just our roads aren't great over here in the UK,
I have had coilovers on other cars and never found them to
be too harsh, but i just dont enjoy the ride. how have you guys
set yours up? i have made sure there isnt preload etc and on different damper
settings. Do you know what spring rates you have on your D2's?
well it would basically be a case of creating a group buy, however i'm not sure
how many people would be interested in a set in the UK at the moment,
cheers

It depends on numbers i can get interested in purchasing, would like to do something like a group buy, would there be any interest for people wanting them on here?
i don't think i can write a new post in the forum regarding a potential group buy
