Hi

As the title says Im from down here in New Zealand. I thought I would share some pictures of my 1982 Mitsubishi starion.
I brought it back at the start of this year and have slowly bringing up to a road worthy condition.

The car wasn't in that bad a shape for its age when i first got. A bit of a smokey turbo, one small bit of rust and lots of oil leaks

I removed the engine and sub frames to clean and repair the oil leaks. I also replaced the subframe bushes, front caster bushes and front/ rear sway bar bushes. The rear shocks also were replaced\

Very Nice and Welcome aboard.  Keep her "the beauty" alive and well - as 82's did not come to America originally as far as I know!

I used to have 1983 Starion - Dakota Sand color.  I regret ever selling it.  I hope to get another one some time in the future.

All the best!

Cheers,

SLim Jim

North America seems to be the only market where a car's year is the 'model year' and not the actual year of production/first registration. For instance an '83 in the US was most likely assembled in '82 exactly the same time as the OP's '82 JDM model was assembled - though it's down as an '82 as in Japan and New Zealand the car's year is when it is first registered on the road.
