I don’t want to do this, but I need to finish my Evo and this will allow me to hasten the process. Sorry for the upcoming novel. I’m being as transparent as I can be.

1987 Mitsubishi Starion for sale.

No sunroof. Last registered in 2005 and was garage kept since then. The car needs tuned and buttoned up before it could be driven long distance. It does run and drive, however. I recently took it on a ~5 mile drive around town and to get gas and it did it pretty well.

New Microsquirt PnP System (from Scott87Star). Stock 2.6L (unknown specs, has a mystery cam supposedly and I believe a non jv head, FIP Hurricane MPI intake system, new Fuel Injector Clinic 680cc injectors, Aeromotive Adjustable FPR, all new fuel hoses, new Walbro 255lph pump, new (to the car) rust-free fuel tank. Innovate LC1 Wideband o2. 16G Turbo. Home-built turbo-back exhaust (PO). Compression is solid across the board.

I recently installed new brake pads, stainless brake hoses, and cleaned up the drilled/slotted rotors (had surface rust from sitting). New master cylinder installed.

BC_99 steering coupler installed. New power steering high pressure line. FR500 wheels (17x9.5/17x10.5)

I have a box full of Moog steering/suspension parts for the front end, a new water pump, and new v belts. Hatch spoiler included (as seen in picture).

The car is rust free minus the two very small spots pictured (cowl area and left lower rear quarter panel). I’ve been all over the car and its very clean otherwise. Frame rails are solid. Dings and small dents, of course, but no rust. I believe it has been in Florida most of its life, though it does have a California emissions compliance sticker under the hood.

The car is in need of struts, needs the cooling system revamped, and has some oil leaks. Expect it to need some misc gaskets from it sitting. Besides an oil change and new plugs, I have not touched the engine itself (beside the MPI system) since I picked it up 4 years ago. I put all my efforts to getting it running and driving.

I also installed the 88/89 steering wheel and HVAC panel. No I will not sell parts off of the car.

$3200 - Located in Englewood, FL 34224

Yes, they are Ford Mustang FR500 wheels.

I fixed the valve cover leak...there is still a slight oil leak that leaves a spot about 3" around after parking the car, but, its nowhere near what it was.  I also fixed the coolant leak.  Both electric fans are operating as they should and it sits right about 185/190°F.

Since these were fixed, I decided to take the car for a little drive.  I put about 10 miles on it today...the most it has driven in almost 20 years, and it did so without a problem.  Obviously it needs tuned, but, light throttle and cruising, it just glides. Lol. So it can be test driven by anyone interested.

I also put some fresh gas in it while I was out.  First time I've driven a Starquest on the street in almost 10 years :(
