Dcrasta
Want to get rid of your purge valve? I posted step by step instructions with a guide for creating a blockoff plate . Go to the tristarion.com board (hard to add pictures here). http://www.tristarion.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=496 Good luck (it worked out great for me!) Boosted_One
That's your EGR valve that you blocked off. The purge valve is on top of the carbon canister. I blocked of my EGR valve and have had no ill effects. As a side note you don't want to do this mod if you have emmision testing because you'll likely fail. Dcrasta
Hmm, when I got this car the owner said he blocked off the EGR and pointed to a plate on the Intake side of the Head (between I think the 1st and 2 cylinders) (Car outside now not absolutely sure). But now I get 20inchs of vacuum instead of 18. It was also leaking fuel out of the old (egr) valve. H
PiercedJD
he's correct, that is the EGR valve. the vaccum increase could be from either the lines that operate the valve being plugged off or from the valve itself being blocked off removing a leak on the intake manifold. the fuel is from your injectors blowing through the intake. The EGR mixes the exhaust back into the intake manifold in an attempt to consume unburned fuel in the exhaust. tree hugger equipment.
