Hey guys, I have found a company who's willing to build some OEM parts for us, but they will need old parts to be use as samples. If you guys could think of any hard to find parts for our cars please kindly let me know and also it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help by sending old unwanted parts to me so i could send to them.I already send them an old center link bar and I might get my hands on maybe 50 to 100 of them. If any questions feel free to send me  a PM

Thank you again!

I would need an 83 hood for them to use as sample but that would be a great item for us. I will add side vent to the list. Thank you!

I put the time in to get this done some time ago!

We have rebuilt ones in stock or you can by pass (read screw) the people responsible for getting this done and take yours to the big box parts stores to have them rebuilt.  Guess it depends on who you want to give your money to!

Why put time into parts that are already available from people that support this community?

Because some folks in this community are just that cheap. If they could get an OEM style unit for $1 cheaper than the permanent solution I offer, they will save that dollar and be replacing the same part again in a few years.

Johnny,

People will be hesitant to send off special parts because the risk of not getting them back.  You also mentioned sending off old unwanted parts. If they are old and unwanted, then there definitely isn't a market to have a company reproduce them.

I say do not replicate someone else's success here (i.e. Steering coupler OR center link)

Browse the "items wanted" section and you will get an idea of the current demand or parts availability.

I agree with preludedude.

Figure out a solution for the center console latch problem. Door window trim and possibly weather stripping. Sunroof trim, seal, and associated parts. Latches for the upper rear seat back releases that always are deteriorated from the sun. Upper hatch hinge bushings would be a hit. Everyone’s hatches seem to have a misalignment from them giving up.

Things like this would be a good place to start.

I'm also in the camp of not bothering to make something already available, concentrate on BC's list above.

Ok thanks all. I wasnt trying to disrespect anyone, i respect all of you! im leaning about our cars, and i know not much is available for them, that's why i wanted to help make them available to us. At Preluede no disrespect my brother but if everyone was afraid to replicate someone else's success there wouldn't be autozone, rockauto, advance auto. There would only be one. But i still understand what you're trying to say. No disrespect to you BC, you don't have to worry about me. like i said i was just trying to help us all. I will definitely go over the lists you guys provided, also does anyone have the parts number for 83 hood?
