gtxtunder is actually a member here on the board.  Real nice guy, I've actually bought stuff from him before, but he always asks top dollar for his stuff.

You might not see another new 83 hood in your life.  Kinda difficult to put a price tag on that since there's probably not another one on the planet.

Actually, it seems simple....He's had it priced $2400 with no luck so far....So we know that demand isn't at $2400...

Might be the last new one on Earth, but it doesnt have the vents...So the hood is useless as-is...He is selling some chrome plated vents that could fill that void...But with the vents not selling for $200 either....

We can determine that no one currently wants a NEW OEM 83 Hood w/ vents for $2600....

Ive gotten $2k offers - which i am willing to accept, but they also want it shipped. Im not going to take a chance in this getting damaged.

I've taken a loss on literally every starion part ive ever sold. Not going to take a loss on a part this difficult to find. I paid John 2k for it several years ago.

After the eBay fees and such, it will probably be close to a “break even price point”, so I don’t blame you for your asking price. It’s reasonable in my opinion, when considering what NOS parts go for on nearly any other rare, low production vehicle. Especially low production, old school Japanese vehicles.

I wouldn’t sell either of my used oem 83 hoods for less than half of that, so your asking price for NIB is on the mark, in my humble opinion.

I hope if it does sell, it gets a good home, but if not, hang onto it and wait for the right buyer that appreciates what that is.
