Haztoys1
Hi Kids hope all have been good...... As the old schoolers around here know who I am ... And as a juice box hater we all know I am..... Just whated to say some things to put a bug in your guys ear ...Now been playing in Montero world of late ..Now Montero world just loves their autos 200K plus they get on miles out of one...I "think" theres a way to go RWD... Theres autos in RWD Mitsu trucks ...???????... And late Montero sports have a RWD 2wd lockup auto trans to a 4g64.....? ????????????? . .Now juice boxies are evil ... And one only has X number of hours in ones day and I'll never see where this info thats been in my head for some time will go ... Some auto pervert should do some looking to swap a V6 Montero auto with a 4cyl bell and Nissan parts at the driveshaft ..(I think on the tai.. just a rumorl).... Have fun Captain Gear Box Hazardous Toys inc ... Edited August 17, 2012 by Haztoys1

Lizzord30
I am kinda doing something simuler now. I am putting a 2.6 into what was a 6g72 v6 montero. It is a 4wd tho, I have heard its a pretty decent trans. I havnt got everything figured out yet (I think I have but need to test fit before I say its really to go) Basicly I am using a 2dr 1989 4cyl auto montero bell housing, that is confirmed to bolt right onto a 90 v6 4wd auto. I will use the v6 TQ converter it does fit into the bell housing just fine, What I havnt got down just yet is the Flex plate and starter lineing up, and spacing. I have I think was a 2.6 auto flex plate that I will drill the holes to line up with the v6 tq converter. I think I need to use the 2.6 4wd auto flex plate spaces (different size then conquest ones). If I am right this will make everything line up, but right now I dont have that spacer yet. I dont know know if the newer RWD trans will bolt to the older bell housings. If they are the same then that could be the way to get it to work. Of course their is a problem that their was very few Montero 2.6 autos(since it was under powred and the auto took even more away).
