looks like somebody has been adding recent photos of a dohc V6 mitsu twin turbo, to the gallery ?
Heck, I'd take even the lowly sohc mitsu V6 over any of the mitsu 4 cyl.
caravans for eg, seem to run smoother, always quieter, very durable & respond well to boost
just the hassle of another rwd conversion tho

An NA 3.5 engine from a Montero would put out decent power and have great reliability. The turbo engines can be reliable too but it takes regular maintenance, a proper tune, and not 100 percent beating on it all the time.

It is also an engine I would recommend fully building before modding. Correcting the issues they have first will make a solid base to start with.

any motor that starts with 'building it up', is the wrong motor imo. Run away, fast. Waste of time & money
Factory did a superb job already, as well as lotsa options out there
early sohc V6s r lower compression. I posted a bone stock $90 junkyard 3.0L boosted to 500hp/500tq on a crappy tune
smooth running with a broad tq curve = perfect for a full street ride. Definitely add standalone tuning.
they aint no 7000rpm screamer either, nor do they need to be. Look elsewhere for that

yeah, get a tough motor suited for that purpose if one needs to beat on it constantly
.....and those 3.5 mitsu V6s r smooth runners too
