  1. huge response to this one eh? lol. anyone still have cars out?
  2. i suppose i could be down. usually pretty busy though unfortunately, gonna be putting the car back on jackstands for the winter very soon
  3. Also, Cheesy ill let ya know when the car goes back out that way, I think I'm done for the season now though.
  4. they are illegal here as well, i think the officers in town spend more time looking at the car going "wt.... is that" than looking at the stickers, also im supposed to have a front plate...
  5. Figured id post this separately from the engine swap thread i had going. Picked this up about 4ish years ago now? http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/2013-03-22_16-31-51_634.jpg Previous owner is somewhere on here... said he slid it into a ditch on a gravel road, decided to part it out. Meanwhile my 89 conquest was very rusty and i wanted to build another chassis differently, we crossed paths and i picked it up for a couple hundred bucks. Damage to the frame rail http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/2013-03-22_20-15-18_856.jpg Zoey admiring the wheel http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/20150213_205356.jpg Sat like this for a bit, engine work was a priority. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/20140411_182143.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/20140425_171024.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/20150916_204838.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/Snapchat--3034600438049697014.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/20150926_141804.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/20150926_141550.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/FullSizeRender.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/86%20starion/IMG_20150927_150547.jpg I like it a bit better now..
  6. maybe if i get my shift at work traded off ill come see what this meet is all about...
  7. its been a few years since i got em, took em out of my old car that handled fine, somewhere along the way i messed up the preload, i honestly dont know what version i have
  8. 2jzge w/ w58, new exedy full face oe replacement w58 clutch, fidanza flywheel, starion master, Toyota w58 slave, hard line clutch line. Fully bled, no leaks and it has the pressure of stepping on a bag of warm mashed potatoes, it's awful. My subaru's stock old clutch feels stiffer. Do I have a problem with the differing master/slave cyl sizes.? Or is this oe clutch just trash. The clutch is gonna get replaced with A better one now that it got ruined by my leaking trans seal.
  9. I'll be adjusting mine this weekend, first drift event was nasty, it would load up and snap hard on the transitions. My buddys who have 4+years exp couldn't get it around a single corner without snapping into a spin out haha
  10. I'll be there, road course is fun but the org running it (scca) got really strict on passengers riding on road course ... As in not allowed anymore. Drifting is run by dirtylove on the "skidpad " it's basically a sectioned off portion of parking lot. Cheap seat time but you will sit in line for awhile between runs. It's a great place to learn to slide if that's what you're interested in, also I be Friday will be drifting on the road course for advanced drivers. We were discussing a figure 8 pad to determine who can go ( too many beginners spinning off track) . Auto x is good but the course is bumpy the way they've had it coned out previous years, as in I scraped frame rail almost every run on the homestretch lol. See you there https://www.facebook.com/MAPerformancePG2k Info here.
  11. i didnt know they had auto cross events there as well, i may have to make the trip for one of those!
  12. was gonna, had to work. have fun take pics!
  13. will do, thanks for the heads up
  14. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/Mobile%20Uploads/20150424_093618.jpg Finished it thursday night. After driving it a couple times tuesday and weds, and finding an electrical problem that was interfering with the ecu, it rips pretty good!. I drove it home from our shop (30 mins) and it felt good, no hickups. Saturday was Club FR's first drift day of the season in Shawano WI. I drove out there with a couple buddys friday night...5 hours and change... beat the hell out of it on the track, and drove 5 hours and change home on saturday night. And someone took a photo of it... Sorry no gopro, somewhere between the hotel and the track it got turned on....for 8ish hours... http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/17278961445_1d968f57e4_c.jpg -exhaust is currently hanging too low, it tends to scrape, -steering needs some changes, the column doesnt like to stay put... -i should probably install the heater controls, it was a cold drive home... one of my laps i got a little too close to the clipping point, and removed the front air dam http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/Mobile%20Uploads/20150425_135731.jpg I have an exedy oe replacement clutch and pressure plate on it as of now and i hate it. the pedal is so damn soft i can barely tell where it engages except when the car starts to move, cant really feel through the pedal at all. But that will be changing now as the front transmission seal decided to begin barfing shortly after i got there. At the end of the day the clutch started slipping after it got hot, but i did still drive it home, without incident. Im not sure yet but i think its gonna end up being an ACT heavy duty replacement Ill post any other photos/ videos I stumble upon from the photographers that were there. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/Mobile%20Uploads/20150425_174921.jpg
  15. It runs! (has for a bit i guess, just havent been around on here), its ugly, but as long as everything goes well tonight ill be taking it to shawano wi next weekend for its first drift event. Ill post some more stuff up later this weekend. http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/20150417_004905.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/20150417_004852.jpg http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll341/theboyo19/20150417_004649.jpg
