  1. That Conquest was a snow drifting natural. Pat would start a drift from the far right part of the pic all the way to past where he's standing. But if you were actually trying to not drift, that Conquest was a terrible vehicle of choice for winter in our area lol
  2. Last part of the story: The guy who bought the Conquest picked it up yesterday. This is the last pic of the Conquest we have as it drove away. Kind of happy and sad http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd511/87eightyseven/IMG952783.jpg
  3. Hey guys, sorry I'm a little late for this, but that first fatty is mine. See, this account is held by 2 guys, Pat and Ryan. This is Ryan. Pat owns the Conquest. Ok, here's the story. Pat bought the Conquest with my help. We got it Jan. of 2012. Soon afterwards we created this account to sell the extra parts we got with the car. We did sell some of them, but gave up after awhile. Pat bought the Conquest in great running condition, ran a little rich, but overall very daily-able. He eventually got another car in the spring/summer of 2012 and the Conquest would sit. Pat would get random spurts of motivation to work on the Conquest but we never really put much time into it. So we put it up for sale. I made a Craigslist ad and Pat made an autotrader ad. People would get interested, come see it, say they were coming back, and never show up again. We pretty much gave up. Then this kid offered to trade Pat his old mid 90's F350 for the car. Pat agreed and the deal was set. This was late June/early July of 2013. Couple days before the trade was to take place Pat was driving around when he got a call from a CA number. This is where Top Gear comes in. At first Pat ignored the call because he figured the call was for the Conquest and he already had a deal in place. But after a couple tries he answered. Basically they said they were interested in the Conquest. Pat said it was already sold. They asked if the new owner would be interested in loaning it out for a photoshoot. Pat said "well, I still have it. So yea I'll loan it out." Pat came into our work and told me someone wanted to use his car for a photoshoot. At this point neither of us knew it was Top Gear. All we knew was these people were out of CA, and had a modified Conquest. They said they wanted to put the 2 Conquests together for a photoshoot in Buffalo, NY. So the next night I was working when Pat called me. He sounded excited. He said "guess who wants to use my Conquest? Top Gear!" I was shocked. He had been talking to someone in production all day. Apparently they had a red Conquest already built and needed another red Conquest for a "before" shot. They said they were looking for a red Conquest all over NY and had seen Pat's autotrader ad. They claimed Pat's car was the only Starion/Conquest for sale in NY. So they must not use craigslist because there were other starquests for sale at this time on craigslist, but Pat's Conquest was the only starquest on autotrader. So they had asked if they could pay Pat an amount of money per day to use the car. Pat agreed. Then they asked if they could come pick the car up and drive it to Buffalo. Pat told them that it really shouldn't be driven that far, but that for an extra amount he would deliver it on his trailer. They agreed, saying they would pay for the use of the car and for Pat to deliver it. I was skeptical because this sounded too good to be true. Me and Pat are huge fans of the show. Plus Pat had just broken up with this girl, so I figured she might be trying to pull one over on him. But the other reason Pat had called me was because he needed my help. Production wanted a contract and they needed it faxed to them ASAP. So I went on the computer, made up a contract and faxed it to Top Gear production. I also emailed Top Gear Production. Apparently the American Top Gear is still BBC, because that's who I was emailing. Next day Pat delivered the Conquest to Buffalo. He stayed there for 2 days while they shot, then brought the car home. I wanted to go, but I had already made plans with a friend to drive out to Michigan and get a 68 Firebird. Pat met Adam and Rut, who he says are actually really nice guys. We were really excited about the car being on Top Gear. But couldn't tell people exactly what was to happen on the show. So we just told people his car would be on TV at this time on this date or to watch Top Gear on this date because his car would be on the show. I was going to make a post on here but never got around to it due to forgetting the password. I did see that there was a post about a starquest being on Top Gear so figured that was good enough. We were actually disappointed the car only got less than a minute of exposure, but at least it was on there. And to be clear, it is a 1986 Dodge Conquest, not a Plymouth like Tanner said. And Pat did tell me that the one used in the water was a flatty and that real car people would be able to tell the two cars apart, especially you guys. Fast forward to the present. This past Jan. was the 2 year anniversary of Pat getting the Conquest. I told him he had to get rid of it. Finally a guy came and bought it about a week ago. Cash is in Pat's hand, but the car is still in his yard til the guy picks it up. It's headed to New York City. So to the guy a few posts up asking who has the car and where is it, it's in Pat's driveway then it's going to NYC. Actually the kid with the F350 stalked this car. He originally wanted to trade a built Talon that was in pieces for it, then a few days later wanted to trade a 70's or 80's chevy dually with a blown engine for it, then months later offered the F350. And just last month he offered cash, Pat accepted, and he delayed. That's when this guy bought it. To the person who said the car ran rough, yes it did. It ran too rich and if you guys rewatch the beginning Pat's car goes through an intersection and is blowing black smoke. It also has a rusty 3" straightpipe as its exhaust so it is pretty loud. So that's pretty much it. We still have a ton of extra parts, including a complete engine that still has the turbo on it, just missing the oil pan. If anyone is interested in the Top Gear story, parts, or have any questions feel free to comment or PM me. Actually I just looked and the ad is still up, but the car is officially sold. Here's a link: http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/4296702303.html Thanks guys, Ryan & Pat
  4. everyone im srry for the inconvenience but something has come up and i need to keep my parts. Mabe at a later point i will have and overflow of parts but right now i need to keep them.
  5. Well my car is an 86 and the parts came with my car separate but i would still assume they would fit
  6. kstokes606, unfortunately, all I have is the overflow tank. It would be $50.00 which includes shipping.
  7. starquest7, I'm sorry but I just sold the gauge surround.
  8. Hey 1quickchic, I have the radiator fans and the total will be $155.00 which includes shipping.
  9. Hey Con86Quest, I have the fender, 1 fog bezzel, and the intercooler. The total is $370.00 which includes shipping.
  10. the downpipe is stock and the steeringwheel has wear on it but as far as i kno is in working condition
  11. I do have a shifter boot and a radio surround. Other members have dibs on them, but so far the only parts I've sent out are to people who've paid me. So, even though I want to be fair, money talks
  12. ^Is that hood going on? It'd look amazing. Don't know about those fogs in the center though. Maybe because they are blue. More interior pics? Do anything to that tan? How about under the hood? Looks very good overall though, good job.
  13. Bump! Sold some items, but there's a lot left. Local pickups will always get priority. Thanks again. Location is Syracuse, New York
